Experience in SMVDU

I applied for The Business School, Jammu but due to the fewer campus placements there I joined the SMVDU. I didn't avail any quota for taking admission in the SMVDU. The admission criteria of SMVDU is, minimum of 50% marks in graduation, either appear in CAT/MAT/CMAT.

I choose this course because I wanted to upgrade my skills for doing a well-reputed job in the private sector. The faculty and student ratio was 8:70 in my batch. The faculty is highly educated and well experienced. The teaching method is also great and they have years of experience in teaching.

Recruiters of the companies like Hdfc, Axis bank, Shriram, Preston, etc. come to the campus for recruiting interns for their company and also offers them a stipend of 5000-7000 to the interns. Most of the time they give tasks related to the sales department.

Just after the beginning of the 3rd semester, students become eligible for the campus placements and companies like Hdfc, Shriram, Prescon, Axis bank, etc. visit the university for giving the pre-campus placements and offers a salary of 4lakh-6lakh to the candidates. 65% of students get the campus placements from the university.

The fee structure of SMVDU is also reasonable and affordable it only costs you around 1,00,000 per year. Yes, SMVDU also provides scholarship opportunities to the students who have more than 80 percentile in the CAT/MAT exam.

Titiksha and Tatva are the two annual fests conduct in the university and books and journals are also available in the university with the latest editions available. The classrooms have all the amenities present like fully air-conditioned classes, projectors, smart glasses, etc. Sports fests like basketball matches, badminton matches, table tennis matches, etc. and NSS activities are also organized by the SMVDU. VIKALP is a social group run by students.

There are 2 hostels for the girls and 2 for the boys and the rooms are also good, with separate beds and almirahs for every student. The food of the mess is also good. The registration process comprises hostel charges included in the fee during the payment because hostel services are mandatory in SMVDU for every student.

The topic of my GD was "Way in which Technology is impacting the banking sector" on which they asked me to share my views on this topic and have a healthy debate among all the candidates present there and once you clear out the GD round then PI round will happen and after clearing the PI round you'll directly get admission here.
