Remarks
I didn't apply to any other college as I was kind of assured of my admission by some of my seniors. Another reason why I didn't apply to any other college was that if I would not be able to get admission in Shri shikshayatan I could get admission to a college called Agrasen College because the students of our school could easily get into it. After all, the college favoured the students from our school (as we had the same person as trustee). No quota in my case but st/sc or obc could get a quota on basis of their caste. The college also provides Kota for or people who have participated in important sporting events. Age-20 although there is no certain age limit one can apply after their twelfth. Marks -not certain but if you want to join the morning batch in b.com it requires a higher percentage cutoff The admission process is way simple and fast. No counselling but the admission process was so simple that it didn't require any counselling although I was helped by one of the teachers of that college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Currently, I am pursuing BCom as I aspire to become a chartered accountant and this course would help me cover a lot of its syllabus and moreover it is the most suitable course For CA examinations. The faculty student ratio is quite sufficient and there is no overcrowding of either one of them. The teachers are quite professional in their work which shows their work experience and qualification. The teachers are quite friendly and maintain healthy relations with the students. Although the education system all around the world it was disturbed by the coronavirus but our college with all its faculty tried their best to help us complete our syllabus in time and make our concepts clear.
Placement Experience
After completing the undergraduate degree students can apply for campus recruitment. The current salary will the students get has reduced over the years due to the pandemic. Earlier in 2014 the average placement was about 700000 and the maximum package was about twelve lakh but now in 2021 the median salary has reduced to 250000 and the maximum salary range is between 350000 and 400000.
Fees and Financial Aid
Every college has its pros and cons and our college is no exception. Although I like the teaching system in this college there was something that disturbed almost every student and it was the fees structure. Due to the coronavirus the income of all people had reduced but even then the college refused to lower our fees .They included the electricity bill and fee other things which should be added only after offline classes begin . Although the fees is not very high but their is a certain morale which this college lacks in few areas. I didn't opt for any scholarship. One may get a scholarship if one belongs to an economically backward family. The college also conducts campus recruitment although one cannot get a high salary just after their Bcom course.
Campus Life
The college hosts an annual fest but unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to be a part of it because of the pandemic. The college has a library from which the students can borrow books from time to time. There is a wide range of books and a sufficient to match are a requirement. The students can also borrow books from other courses. The college does not support sports as much as it should. But in most of the colleges in India sports is something which is neglected especially a college which is only for girls. The students also form groups and host fests.
