Remarks

The admission is done on a merit basis along with GD and Personal Interviews. The academic Counsellor there helps through the process and helps the applicants in identifying appropriate courses as per the applicant's potential and interest. Overall it's quite an easy process to follow which includes filling of admission forms, submitting required documents and fees etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I always had a keen interest in the law process and was always curious about it. That is why I decided to pursue B.A. LL.B. after I completed my 12th. The faculty student ratio is quite decent here as it is a newly established college and is in a growing phase and faculties focus on each student studying here. The faculties here always try their best to make us understand the concept and they believe in practical learning that is why they try to teach us through moot courts, presentations, extracurricular activities etc. They have a friendly approach towards students which helps a student to overcome any difficulty easily. The exams are being conducted as per the situation as due to pandemic the schedule of every educational institution has disrupted but the college is the administration still making it possible to take internal and final exam regularly and on time. The question papers are of moderate level and each concept has already been discussed in classes with revision sessions.

Internships Opportunities

5

Since the purpose of the Internship cell is to provide practical application of the respective field, our university i.e. Lords University has its own Internship and Placement Cell of the School of Law. Lords University provides a great platform. The main aim of the college is to ensure that maximum students get placed every year. This university provides maximum internship opportunities as well. During the internship period, students get practical learning of a particular area of law. by taking care of the object of internship, the School of Law, Lords University provides various kinds of internship programmes in the duration of five years of course of law. Lords University has collaboration with many Senior Counsels of different High Courts and District Courts, prestigious law firms, corporate houses and NGOs where students get exposure by engaging themselves in legal research, draft pleadings, briefs and other legal documents.

Placement Experience

5

Lord's university has its own placement cell as well. Since the School of law is established this year only, this is the first batch that will be getting placed. For the bright future of the students, Committee is putting their best efforts into conducting GDs, Personal interviews etc. at their own level to boost up the confidence and morale of students in front of the recruiters when they come for placement. For the students who want to appear for competitive examinations such as Judicial Service Examinations of different states, Civil Service examinations etc., the University has set up the guidance committee as well where the respective teachers guide the students by providing a deep understanding of law subjects. Guest lectures have been taken up by the people who have cracked such kinds of competitive examinations.

Fees and Financial Aid

As far I am not aware of any fees hike policy. The cost to study is very reasonable here and there are many scholarships available for students. Since law education is becoming more expensive. We see many private law schools have their fees in lakhs per annum. Therefore, many students are unable to pursue law education. Lords University, School of Law offers various kinds of scholarships among students to encourage their inclination towards the law field and to overcome their financial constraints, ensuring such hurdles don’t affect their career in law. Lords University has scholarships for students who are financially weak. The university provides a whole five-year course free of cost to such kinds of students. The university has other scholarship schemes as well for those who are good in academics. University provides some amount of relaxation in their fee structure as well. The only condition is that the applicant must have passed class 12th (or equivalent) with a minimum score of 70-75%.

Campus Life

5

The annual fest has not happened yet due to Covid-19 restrictions but for a brief time (2-3 months) when offline classes were held, the college made sure that we indulge in extra-curricular activities like Skit, play, dance, singing etc and every month on a special occasion they held a small program while following Covid-19 restrictions protocol. Our library does have all the books we require during our entire 5 year course. Apart from it all other knowledgeable books, bare acts, books for judiciary exams preparation etc are also available. Our classroom is a smart classroom I can say. The sitting area is quite comfortable and there is A.C. in our classroom. There is also a projector available which helps us with presentations etc. The sports are really encouraged by the University and therefore they provide us 1 hour to play games. We have basketball, badminton, football grounds etc. They even organize small sports events to encourage students to participate in them.

Interview Experience

4.5

The admission is done on a merit basis and during the admission process, academic counselling is being done by the University to help students. The registration can be done through online and offline mode with a reasonable registration fee. After the registration, University provides a 10-15 days period to deposit the semester fees. The university staff is very cooperative, they really make the admission process quite easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Thr curriculum is designed in a way as a usual law college but the benefit of this college is that we have legal aid clinic , which the students have the opportunity to join. In curriculum we also have variety of electives till 4th yearof college. Which i think is good as students might get the opportunity to explore other subjects related to law and not related to law. The exams are held twice a semester and the difficulty level depends upon the faculty setting the question paper. Usually the difficulty level is of othe law universities. For improvement wise i dont have any suggestions

Placements from the campus for law students is not that good and honestly I don't think the student should rely on the campus placements instead they can participate in different events and improve their CV for getting a good job . The internships play a vital role in the career of a law students . Law students mainly focus on the judiciary exams and if not that then they can go for the corporate sector or litigation after that . Else they can also prepare for other exams such as UPSC or also go for higher education
