Remarks

The experience of the admission process was quite easy going. In the every University Of Delhi College, as soon as you enter the college, there are student mentors available who are ready to help and guide you through the whole process. If there is any doubt regarding the admission or any sort of query, they will provide you with all the information you need. One of the student mentors helped me from the initial to the final process of admission. You can stay connected with them for any other sort of query as well. The admission criteria of CVS is majorly based on Merit Basis - which marks a cut off percentage for the courses available. To check the eligibility, you will need to access the DU Cutoff List from where you will meet the requirements as per your merit score. Please Note Before this, you will need to fill a form at www.du.ac.in for admission to the University of Delhi. The admission process overall is quite simple if you have all the required documents.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course, because I always had an interest in marketing and retail, apart from that; I always wanted to do something different. Thus, I wanted to pursue this course. The faculty to student ratio, I would say is 1:50 in terms of class, the students are a lot more than teachers. The teachers are highly qualified, however, teachers are permanent and temporary as well. Every teacher has their own unique way of teaching, however all over it is interactive. The exams are simple, they are not as difficult as one might think. Usually, there is a sense of nervousness, but it is a good experience overall.

Internships Opportunities

3

A lot of companies come in for internships. An internship fair is also set up for the students. Companies such as Uber, Zomato, EY, Reliance visit for interns. Therefore, there is a good chance of getting interned with the companies.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement cell is run by two teacher coordinators and students. Our placement cell is called Aspire. The placements are good. You receive several opportunities and attend interviews and get selected. However, the criteria are, once you receive two offer letters from two different companies, you will not be allowed to sit for another interview, until and unless you reject one. Since every student has a chance and equal opportunity for placement. Companies such as Decathalon, EY, Sapient, BYJU's and many such companies visit the college to recruit students. The average package for our college students is around 3-4 LPA. The highest package is up to 10-12 LPA. The percentage of getting placed could result in 70-80 % depending upon company needs. The plan after completing the course is to get placed in a company and develop myself to further improve and get a high degree education.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is the best thing about the University Of Delhi. Since it is affiliated with a Government University. There is no such fee hike until and unless the government approves on any basis. But mostly, it stays stable. The fee is very reasonable. There is no such scholarship, as far as I know, financial assistance clearly depends on the college criteria. Apart from that, we have a placement cell, which helps in providing jobs/internships. I was able to attain job offers as well. If you are well prepared, the placement cell is very helpful.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is great! You are open to such a world, where you completely change yourself and develop as a person. One of the attractions the University Of Delhi has is college societies and Fests. College Societies are of two types: educational and extra circular. It can include anything, from marketing, tech, NCC, Entrepreneurship, HR etc. and the extra circular includes; dance, fashion, singing and drama. I was also a part of multiple societies during my college life. One should definitely enrol themselves in them. Fests are the limelight of the college. We have an annual fest called Tatva - a three day fest where you can enjoy to your fullest. There are many major programs, DJ night and a Celebrity always visits on the last day. Rest you can participate in sports, there is a football team, basketball team, cricket team and so on. The classroom amenities are average overall.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 4th or 5th semester. Deloitte , Bain & company, PWC ,EY, Grant Thornton (for consulting services) offer the highest package to roles like analyst and accountant. Other companies such as ICICI Bank, Kotak securities , Inshorts , Urban company,HUL, Wipro,ITC hotels , Appollo Hospital etc. the highest package recorded in 2024 was 23.05 LPA and average package as 6 LPA . 85-90% of the eligible students get the placement, the data might vary as some students opt for 4th year for their research work. My plans after getting the degree lie in marketing or consulting field.

I to be honest don't like my course much but it's not too bad also , it does allow you to have a practical exposure along side your studies. As the pressure of syllabus is not much. Teaching methods are not too good also but not bad too. The difficulty level is not much.

I choose the curriculum on the basis of its heay emphasis on the software development part. It is not really reflects itself in the real-world application, I had to pursue other option to grow my skills. It needs to make it better in the project and application department. They need to work on some real life projects.
