My Experience Of MBA In SMVDU

Earlier I applied for the MIET but just because of the less campus placements there I took admission in the SMVDU. The eligibility criteria for taking admission here is minimum 50% marks in the graduation and need to be appear in the CAT/MAT exams. I didn't avail any quota for taking admission.

I choose this course because i wanted to do a job in the corporate sector and also very keen to learn about the various fields MBA offers. The faculty of SMVDU is very good and have years of experience in the teaching sector.

Companies like Uflex, Prescon, ICICI, Hdfc, Axis bank, etc. visits the campus for providing internship opportunities to the students and also give an average salary of rs 5000- 8000 per year. You'll usually get roles related to the sales person there.

After the completion of the 2nd semester, the students become eligible for the campus placements and gets a great offer from the well known companies like Prescon, Hdfc, ICICI and many more with an annual income of 5 lakh-7 lakh per annum. 70% of students get the campus placements.

The fees structure of SMVDU is bit high as compared to the other colleges in Jammu but in the matter of eduaction and the excellence they provides it is worthy at all. Scholarship facility is also available for the students who have more than 80 percentile in the CAT/MAT exam.

Tatva and Titiksha are the two annual fests conduct in the university. The books and journals are available with the latest editions in the library. A grand sports fest also use to organize for the students by the university in which the students take participate with the full enthusiasm. Vilkalp is the social group run by the students.

The facilities in the room includes attached almirahs, air conditioners and seprate beds for each student. The food in the mess is not so good at all. No such registration process use to take place as taking up the hostel facility is mandatory for all the students.

The topic of my GD was " How beneficial is the merger of Public Sector Banks" and after that you have to go through the PI round and after passing out the PI round you will automatically get a seat in the university.
