Remarks
I have applied for Thapar university and even got admission there but due to some personal reasons, I didn't join that. I have not availed of any quota for admission. For admission, it's mandatory to have a bachelor's degree in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks and also you need to give exams equivalent to that like CAT or MAT or WAT.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course for two reasons- 1 . Better career opportunities 2. It's a professional degree. The faculty of Smvdu is nice and all but you have to make up your mind for untimely CLASSES and Ppts. But nonetheless, they teach really well.
Placement Experience
Right now my final exams of the 2nd sem are going on and as soon as I reach 3rd sem. I will be eligible for campus placement. Companies like HDFC , SBI LIFE , ICICI BANK etc. Often visit our campus. The highest package that our senior got was of Rs. 7 lakh.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee of my first sem was Rs. 1 lakh 10 thousand. And the 2nd sem fee was Rs. 1 lakh something. So it will cost you approximately Rs. 2 lakh to study MBA in the first year. I have not availed for any scholarships here.
Campus Life
Half of my first sem, I was at my home because of Covid and when the situation came under control then we went to college. The campus of SMVDU is just so mesmerising. It has libraries , gym facilities, sports club , cafeterias as well.
Hostel Facilities
There are separate hostels for both girls and boys. Due to covid guidelines, every student were given single room and no room sharing was allowed within the hostel. My room was very ventilated and has one bed , study tabel and one almirah. The mess of our hostel was quite good.
