SMVDU - Review

I applied for the TBS earlier but just because of not making it to the final list, I took admission in SMVDU. I didn't avail any quota for taking admission in SMVDU. For admisssion purpose, one need to be have more than 50% marks in your graduation and also need to be go through their entrance test and also need to be appeared in the CAT/MAT exam.

I choose this course because I wanted to get a job in the private sector and wanted to explore the various dynamics of the corporate world. The faculty members of SMVDU is highly qualified and holds multiple degrees like Mphil, Phd, MBA, etc. and the teaching approach is also good here. The term exams conduct on the time and is easy to clear out.

Companies such as Prescon, Shriram, ICICI, Hdfc, Axis visits the campus and give internship opportunities to the students and mostly gives the roles related to marketing and sales related and the stipend they provide for this is 4000-9000.

With the beginning of the 3rd-semester students become eligible for the campus placements and every year companies like Prescon, Shriram, Hdfc, ICICI, etc. comes to the campus and offers an average salary of 3 lakh to 7 lakh to the students. 55% of students get the placements from the campus placements cell.

The fees hike policy is a little bit high in comparison of other colleges in Jammu which provides MBA but after taking admission here you'll get to know that it's worth to spend. A scholarship facility is available for only students who got more than 80 percentile in the CAT/MAT exam.

Tatva and Titiksha are two annual fests which is use to be organized by the university for the students. There is a shortage of books and library mostly in the examinations time period. The classrooms has all the amenities required to run the classrooms like projectors, air-conditioner, etc. A grand sports fest also use to conduct in the university for the students. Vikalp is the social group run by the students in the college,

The hostel rooms have all the facilities available in the rooms like fully ventilated rooms, separate beds for each student, almirahs, non-attached bathrooms,etc. The food of mess is not good. For every student the hostel rooms are mandatory,

The topic of my GD was "Digital Marketing Why A Need Nowadays" and after that, a PI round happened and after the PI round I recieved an offer letter from the university on my e-mail regarding my selection for admission.
