Remarks
I only applied for this institute as it was affiliated with the University of Rajasthan, also, nearby to my hometown with an affordable fee structure. for eligibility criteria in BSc biotechnology students should have passed the senior secondary examination in subjects mathematics or biology with 50% marks and there was no counselling. you simply can apply from the college website and pay the fees before the due date for admissions.
Course Curriculum Overview
as I was having a keen interest in the research field area I opted for the BSc biotechnology course to pursue my career. so, approximately there is 1 faculty on 20 students. sometimes, a single faculty used to teach more than 2 subjects. teaching methods are good with smart learning technologies includes less theory and more practical type. most of the faculties are NET qualified with some teaching experience. exams are held on an annual pattern basis, not on a semester basis. exams occur according to the university timetable and the difficulty level is moderate
Internships Opportunities
according to the Rajasthan university curriculum you have to do 1 month internship and 2 months of dissertation work, but you have to search for internships on your own only, there is no aid provided by the college.
Placement Experience
the college runs career guidance programs that create awareness among students regarding career options and provide avenues open after graduation and post graduation which give them ideas about pre placement training but as the chances and placements are quite less in my department so most of the students continue their post graduation studies. I am also planning to continue my studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
there are many scholarships available which are mentioned on the prospectus of college for instance, for standing first or second in university examanition, for securing highest mars in subject etc. but as i experienced there is no schlorship because when you ask for the schlorship in office they usually deny for that and according to them you will recieve schlorship on mid term basis but exams are annually held, maybe this can be due to corona crisis so, after opening exact schlorship details can be identified. I am receiving PMSS but it was not from the college.
Campus Life
KASTURI is a well known intercollege fest that commences in January - February there are book banks, and almost all books are available in the library, some can be issued and some are kept in the reference room which you can only read at library timings. classrooms are okay, with moderate furniture but classes are done on smart screens .also, there is more emphasis on practicals. indoor and outdoor both types of sporting facilities are available with consistent practice on fixed morning and evening timings. For extracurricular there are different courses available according to your interest .you can enrol in any club of your interest. like swaranchal club for music and dance, abhivakyti club for debate etc. and many more.
