Remarks
I applied for Chandannagar college, city college, bhairab Ganguly college but I attended Kalyani Mahavidyalaya because it was close to my home and many of my friends decided to go there. Those who have passed 10+2 with minimum passing marks can apply for the BCom honours course. But admission to the BCom honours course will be done on a merit basis. Minimum marks in accountancy have to be 70.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am a commerce student that's why I choose this course to enhance my knowledge. The college faculty didn't have many teachers in our department that's why we don't have the freedom to choose between two papers when we have options. Some teachers were really helpful and understanding towards us but some teachers were really not understanding at all. But in the end, they help us maybe they want to scare us like that I don't know this is really confusing. Every teacher in our department was highly qualified. Most of the teachers were really good at teaching but some of them are really not interesting to hear from. Exams were mostly timely but it was really long to solve in 3h.
Fees and Financial Aid
If we compare our college's fees were very affordable. Per semester we have to pay like 1000-2000 rs. And at the admission selected candidates have to pay 5000 something. St, sc candidates get scholarships. I'm generally so I don't get any kind of scholarship from our college. Our college doesn't have any placements yet. But our teachers guide and prepare us to achieve our goals.
Campus Life
Our college held freshers for new students and social for every student every year but they didn't do much they don't provide any food to students. Students have to pay for the food they eat. Our library is the best in our college they have a large collection of books about everything. The classrooms were big and really good but hot in the summers. Our college has a union run by college students.
