UILS Pros and Cons

I didn't apply to any other college after CLAT because UILS has really good reviews over all as a law college esp. in Punjab and regions around it. I don't regret coming here, as there are opportunities which if taken good advantage of, can take us to places. We need to give an entrance test, in order to enter the college. 50 percent weightage is for grade 12 percentage and the remaining is for the entrance test marks. The admission process for my college requires ab aptitude test of 100 marks with 100 one mark questions and negative marking of .25. After the test, the calculation of ranks is done based on 50 percent of marks scored in 12 th exams and 50 percent of marks in aptitude test. I applied in almost all other prestigious law collges as well including Govt. And Private institutions and got selected in almost all of them (excluding NLU's). There wasn't really an issue with the finances or colleges, but due to some personal factors to stay close to my hometown, I had to choose UILS....Read More

I applied for B.A.LL.B (Hons.) in Panjab University as well as in other colleges too like Banaras Hindu University, Kurukshetra University. Due to the Corona pandemic, the University did not take the entrance test last year (2020) and the admission process was done on the basis of merit list i.e., marks obtained in the 12th Class. I also got shortlisted for admission to Kurukshetra University but as per the report of 2019, Panjab University has been ranked in the range of #801-1000 in QS World University Rankings. Hence, I chose Panjab University. Moreover, as per the reports, 1.4% of students completing three-year undergraduate courses at Panjab University were able to find employment through campus placement in 2018-2019.
