Entrance Preview
I attended CET exam and got 6000 rank. There was a special quota SNQ, which was introduced during that time. This quota helped merit students. I got my seat for Electronics and Communications. I had my relatives place nearby for the accommodation. So I chose this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is excellent for the interested students. In the first year we had to study the basics of all the branches related stuffs. It's in the second year you actually enter the branch, i.e. in my case Electronics and Communications. Initially it was difficult, but later once we got hold of learning everything was simple.
Internships Opportunities
For backward classes there were so many. Even based on merits we used to receive scholarship, which was very helpful.
Placement Experience
Around 40 companies were there for the placements. There was training program for us for the interviews. Most of the students got placed in our batch. There is separate department called HR department in our college that takes care of training and the placements.
College Events
IEEE conferences are conducted in each branch separately. This includes Technical Paper Presentations. Branch Festivals are conducted every year and is taken care by students and faculties of the particular branch. Chunchana is our College fest, that is conducted every year in the month of may. This includes various competitions for all the students. Students from whole college participate and exhibit their talent.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Per Year Government fee is 50000 Rs. This should be given for the CET based students. COMEDK based students have separate structure that is around 100000 Rs Management fee varies. First year you should pay 15000 for the college facilities like wifi, bus etc. Examination fee is again separate.
Exam Structure
There is an internal exam and an external exam. Internal exam is for 25 marks. External for 100 marks. Lab external is for 50 marks. Each year there are around 6 subjects and 2 labs. Internal will be conducted in the college. Externals will be conducted by our university which is VTU. Final year there were 4 subjects, a seminar and Project.
Admission
I got a ranking of 6000 in CET and in the counselling I choose this college. There was fee payment and we got the perspective. There was no interview in particular. I completed all the applications and payment was through DD. All the details regarding the college was given on the first day by our beloved Principal.
Faculty
The faculties were great and all were very supportive as in other colleges except one or two, who used to behave like they are here to screw us. But there were some exceptional teachers who taught us more than curriculum. Helped us to come out of all the stress the students normally have.
