Vikas Kaushik's Review On Indira Institute Of Management - [IIMP], Pune

I took CAT, MAT & ATMA Examinations. Like Many others, I Din't do well in CAT but I Scored 98 Percentile in MAT & 93 Percentile in ATMA. Indira Institute of Management (IIM) was a listed college in ATMA & I opted for it & was called for the Interview.

Course Structure was very well planned & It was really well structured for Duel Specialisations. We had trimester (6 Trimesters in 2 years) in PGDM & Semester system for MMM. Course Curriculum was divided in such a Way that a student can complete the syllabus of both the examinations with food learning.

Yes, It provides Internships. Because of its proximity to Mumbai, Many Companies from Pune & Mumbai visit the College & Hire the Students for Internship & the final Placements. Institute had a great Infrastructure at that Time which has become even more attractive over the years.

Since I passed out in 2004, It is difficult to get the figures but most of the Students who were interested in getting Campus Placements got some opportunities. I also got campus placement & was selected by a Mumbai Based company. Companies from various industries came to college including Birla Sun Life, HDFC, Shoppers Stop, Parle, SodexoPass, Nicholas Piramal to name a few. The packages offered were in the range of 1.5 Lakh to 5-6 Lakh per Annum which was a decent figure in 2004.

There were many events celebrated in the college Some of them include the Management Workshop Taken by Mr. Minocher Patel. Once, Australian Captain Rickey Pointing was invited in the college to discuss about the leadership skills. Few Bollywood Stars like Johny Lever, Sonali Kulkarni etc. also visited the college & Shared their experiences.

At That Time, it was around 1.8 Lac for 2 Years (Tuition Fee) which was reasonably. Now It must have been increased. But Still I Think the Fee structure must be reasonable. Students from all parts of the country were studying with us. Institute also has its own hostel facility for the students which can be taken by the students.

Although I had not availed any Loan Facility but there must be some. Since its a long time, I don't remember much about it. But Now a days Many Bank offer education Loan & Institute must be having some sort of tie up with them.

Campus Life Was memorable. Our Campus was on main Mumbai-Pune express Highway. The Academic Campus was on one side of the road while Hostel was on the other side. Since we were in Management PG Course so there were more Management Workshops rather than Engineering based projects. We had some small Projects with various organisations & In house Sessions about latest business environment.

Yes, Institute has its own Alumni Network. It has its Placement Cell of which Seniors & Junior Students are part of. Normally Seniors were very helpful & Supportive. I also got support from some of my seniors when they were placed & we were trying to get a Summer Project in 1st year & final placement in my 2nd Year.

It was a really nice experience. Even After doing 2 courses simultaneously, We never felt the pressure of Exams or any other Project related things. In fact these 2 years were the most memorable part of life for most of the students. Exam were conducted thrice in a Year in PGDM Course while it was Twice in a Year in MMM Course.

Most of the Faculty members were the Top Most Faculty Members of Pune City. Some of the Faculty were permanent while some visiting faculty were teaching in Top Colleges of Pune. Some of the Faculty members also had the experience of teaching in foreign Universities. Overall It was a great experience leaning from them.
