Remarks
I applied for almost every technical institute all over India but most of them were not affordable and the affordable ones were not good in terms of studies and placements, then GTBIT was there since this college is more likely famous for ECE Department and its achievements. this college is most active in the Delhi section for IEEE( Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers ) events. GTBIT is affiliated with IPU, thus it provides an 85% quota to Delhi-based students the only quota I was eligible for and since it is a Sikh minority college it also provides an additional quota and preference to Sikh students. Admission criteria are the same as IPU, admission through IPU CET exam conducted by IPU and min 55% in 12th. The admission process includes document verification and submission and fee submission, during my chance it was pandemic time so the crowd was less and everything was quite well managed.
Course Curriculum Overview
I liked the electronics and communication branch as we all know it has a great and successful future ahead. and it's also an evergreen branch that is its employment rate is better than CS, IT. every company needs ELectrical engineers. I quite liked the infrastructure of this college, it is strictly compulsory for Sikh students to wear proper turban daily. The facility: student ratio is quite decent. The teaching is good, labs are well maintained. the faculties are very qualified in their respective fields. They know how to teach and handle students, i.e; they are strick for studies but highly supported too. Internals and Externals are held timely, study leaves are provided, level of the paper is very much decent, though lab viva is kind of tough but if prepared well, nothing to worry about then.
Internships Opportunities
The Internship and Placement Cell always uplift students and offer companies and training for everyone's growth starting from 3rd semester. Many free courses are provided by the cell to improve and work upon our skills. GTBIT focuses on you to gain more and more knowledge.
Placement Experience
After the 5th and 6th semesters, students are eligible to take part in placements held by many companies. renowned companies like Amazon, Goggle, WIPRO, INFOSYS, HCL, and many more visit campus. The highest on-campus placement till now is 35 LPA and the average is 5-7 LPA. 90% of students get placements in good companies with the very well packed. My plans are for Master's studies from abroad surely.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fee is approx 1,20,000 per year, most of the things are included in this except Hostel. this college has 50% or even lesser fees as compared to other universities providing such facilities. The scholarship is also provided by Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council but it has some eligibility criteria, so not all students get the benefit of it. Every year companies and many MNC like HCL, HP, INFOSYS, WIPRO, Amazon offer placements to freshers, on average 5-7 LPA is offered, minimum of 4.5 LPA was offered last year.
Campus Life
Gate is the annual techno-culture fest of GTBIT. it's an opportunity for the GTBIT societies to showcase the rich culture of GTBITians. GATE is organized in the month of March. The Library is well equipped with books, library also has a book bank facility for all students in which books are issued for the whole semester as this being a semester-based scheme. GATE also has sports competitions. many fests are conducted by various societies each month and each society is headed by students.
