A mirror of the BVM

The admission process is managed by ACPC. Criteria were that the student should have given the GUJCET exam and Gujarat board/CBSE board exam. The merit list declared by ACPC was based on Gujarat/CBSE board exam and Gujcet Exam. 60% percentile of Gujarat/CBSE board exam and 40% percentile of GUJCET exam was considered in the merit list. I have applied to many governments and private institutes(Only TFWs in private colleges) like DAIICT, DDU, LDCE, BVM, Nirma, PDPU for Computer engineering and Computer Science courses. The merit of DAIICT and Nirma and PDPU was very high. In the admission process, first of all, there was a Registration process to take participate in ACPC Rounds. There was one mock round and after that, there were two rounds and 3rd was for vacant seats.

BVM has excellent faculty in every department. All the faculty members are very experienced and knowledgeable. Almost all the faculty members have done their M.Tech or PhD from high level institutes like IITs, IIMs, NITs, etc. BVM's curriculum is tight and structured. If the student learns with focus and concentration a d also do self learning then he/she can get placed from the BVM campus. In each semester there are a total of three exams. Two mid semester exams and one ends semester exam. The difficulty level of the paper is sometimes very hard on some subjects. But there is a Relative Grading System in BVM. So grades are given to students according to the difficulty level of the paper.

Companies like IBM and L&T offers internships in BVM. They give different projects and tasks according to your area of interest or research. Most of the computer engineering students do their internships in software/web/Android development.

About 75% - 85% of students got placed in the computer engineering department. The highest package offered in computer engineering last year is 10 LPA and lowest package is around 2 LPA. Average package is around 4-5 LPA. Top recruiting company in BVM is TCS. Other companies like IBM, L&T, etc. Most of the students complete their internships in software development and web or Android development.

In BVM computer engineering course is under GIA(Grant In Aid), so fees for this course is not that much more. It is around 6000 Rs. per semester. College does not provide any kind of scholarship from itself. But there are many other scholarships like MYSY, Digital Gujarat, etc.

The infrastructure of BVM is good. In BVM campus we can use free Wi-Fi with good speed and the labs of all the departments are also good with new instruments, machines and equipment. New classrooms are really great. Also, we have a good library having lots of useful books.

There are two types of the hostel in my college. One is old and the other is the new hostel. In the old one, there is no mess facility is provided but in the new hostel mess facility is provided. The new hostel is one of the best hostels I have ever seen. It has many good facilities and also provides good quality of the meal. In BVM, 1st year students must have to take admission in College hostel rather than other hostel or PG.
