LIFE AT PSIT

After JEE MAINS ended I got to know some of my friends to apply for UPSEE exams and I was quite sure that I will not get a good rank in JER MAINS as I haven't enrolled myself in coaching during 11th and 12th. So I applied for UPSEE 2020 exams now UPCET and after the exams, the result came after and around 1 month and I had got 20 k rank among 1.5 lakh applicants. Then after a few weeks of counselling started I had applied for KIET, AKGEC, JSS, GALGOTIAS, PSIT. In the first round, they allotted me a seat in PSIT CS and till the last round, it remained the same as I was eligible for other branches except because CS has quite a higher cutoff. After consulting with some senior brothers, friends and family I booked a seat and paid the amount for seat confirmation.

I had a keen interest in computers during my childhood days and had opted for in my class 9th and 11th too where I had learned quite a lot about JAVA. Faculty members are highly qualified, most of them have done PHD in a specific subject. They are always ready to tell as many doubts as one asks and their teaching methods are quite commendable. Mostly we have to give CTs every month of the particular lesson we have been taught by them in the particular month.

Internship opportunities are also available in the third year the college. Meanwhile, if you are interested to work as an intern you can apply for different internships at Internshala. The internship will be given to you as per your areas of interest you can opt for any kind of internship at any company and you have to give some telephonic or zoom call interview.

First of all, PSIT is known for its placement record psitians (90-95%) every year gets placed in some of the other company. So don't think about placement in PSIT just try to give your best in every instance the college life.

Fees are quite high but yes it will surely pay off you in the future as almost 90-95% of students get placed in the campus placements every year. Further, If you have financial problems you can apply for UP SCHOLARSHIP where you will certainly amount. Otherwise, you can prepare well for UPSEE and try to get a fee -waiver seat in the counselling.

Ignitia is annual fest conducted by PSIT where the student participates and showcase their talents. Books are issued at the beginning of the semester and will be with you for the whole semester. You can borrow other books too but return in time others you have to pay 10/day as a fine. Classrooms are air conditioned and it has nice quality chairs and tables where you will study in your comfort. You can play FOOTBALL, VOLLEYBALL, INDOOR GAMES in the hostel except for cricket as cricket isn't allowed on the campus.

Hostel: First of all you have to pay 20,000 rs of the total amount and then your room will be booked as per your preferences. The hostel is quite affordable food served also is quite good and they paneer and veg biryani once a week. Laundry facilities are also available in the hostel. PGs are also available you have to search for nearby PGs.
