Remarks

I was also selected for the IISER Mohali BS-MS program and do not join because i want to be in tech-related fields. after inquiring a lot, I came to know about this college -Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC), New Delhi. i applied for it - gave exams -got admission. total marks for the paper -400. it consists of total of 100 questions ( maths+reasoning ). After matching with the official answer key, i calculated my score to around 140.I lost hope as 140 out of 400, not a chance to get into this institute. When the results came,I have got 137 marks with unbelievable rank ( general rank-45, obc rank-7). Note:-But this depends on the level of paper/no. of students, etc. Due to covid19, the counseling/document verification was done online.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I want to pursue a career in tech areas. My previous year-class strength was fixed to 40. But this time seats were increased to a maximum intake of 55 students. Faculties are experts in their respective fields. As in our case classes are held online. In the beginning, we miss usual college life, but with get used to it. We regularly got classes, assignments, projects, presentations. As exams were held online, so we people are happy.(i guess you get it- jokes apart)

Internships Opportunities

3.5

we have options to intern under the faculty of CIC. almost all got internships from various sources. Every year many students got into GSoC. There is no placement cell of our own, which is the only drawback of CIC. But students managed it through off-campus placement. Some apply for CAT,GATE, and many other jobs and higher education fields. some went to abroad for further studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

CIC BTech programme- only 5000/semester. (10000 yearly). This is nothing compared to the fees of any other engineering program all across India. There is a scholarship available from Delhi university. but to avail it , there are conditions that one has to be fulfilled.

Campus Life

4

As we started our course online, therefore we do not get any chance to well-known for this. But, as saying of seniors- CIC has no fest of our own BUT as we are in North Campus, we can join an amazing fest of top DU colleges. we have a design and robotics club of our own. The library is good and there are plenty of books, journals, etc. AS CIC is new, better infrastructure, air-conditioned classrooms with internet connectivity, Our computer labs have world-class Mach systems. we can play football and other games in the stadium. One can search social groups on Instagram easily with cic name.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
