Remarks
I applied for Dav Centenary College and J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA for BCA Course . But I didn't get my name in merit list of ymca so I choose the DAV Centenary College , Faridabad. No I didn't avail quota . The minimum percentage for that course in Dav was 66% and I got more than that so I got the admission. Counseling day was so hectic there was a huge no. Of students who came to get admission in this college but lastly I got admission In the college . Most of my classmates are with me in my college. Basically, we all decide to get admission in the same college and we all are pretty average in studies. And the college admission experience is quite good for me in my opinion. The staff members were helpful the interaction between the student and teacher I so nice and polite. I am happy about my admission in my college and I rate the admission experience to 7
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the BCA course because I like programming and I suddenly got interested in tech after 12th. We didn't get too many chances to interact with teachers as well as college because of the pandemic. But I'm sure the teachers were good but not great. I got a covid positive in my first semester exams but I give the exams online and the experience is quite new for me and I am so nervous in my first exam and yes it was difficult for me to pass the semester because I didn't take much of the online classes in 1st semester. But luckily my teachers are helpful and I also got so much help from my friends they helped me to pass. And yes I cheat in my first-semester exam to get a pass. In the maths exam, I had no idea how to start the paper my mind was blank. And luckily I was passed In all subjects in the First semester.
Internships Opportunities
Thirty-Six labs Pvt ltd.He offered me a technical remote internship which was for android app testing. Already occupied with the final year project I declined his offer. Two weeks later he again called me and offer a monetary reward for the internship and insisted that I have to work as a team leader and my only responsibility will be to collect data from my team. I was asked to form a team of 50 students who would perform beta testing for their app Opinia360. The offer was that the team which performs well will be paid and the intern who finds the most number of bugs will be rewarded with special recommendations and some monetary reward. Those who could not find bugs will be only issued a certificate.
Placement Experience
I think I am qualified to write an answer to this question given the fact that I recently participated in phase 1 of placements at IITK. Also being the department placement coordinator I can provide some insight into the placement drive. My placement story has been one hell of a roller coaster ride. There have been so many ups and downs throughout this journey but by god's grace I came out victorious. This roller coaster ride started in the 3rd Year. So straight into the first month of 3rd year, companies started to come for internships. I was an average student with a very average pointer of 7.96. This is where the journey
Fees and Financial Aid
BCA course per year fees are rs.37888.Some might think this is so high but as per the College equipment, it's quite fine. And yes we can also pay our fees in installments without any interest. Mostly we got online classes all the year so I think I can't complain about the affordability I think the campus and the faculty ante good and well-educated. But some other staff members are so strict they are always on my nerves. But luckily our teachers are quite good and helpful. There is no hike for this year i think and I basically borrow from college library. The Library of the college is also very big and quite the teachers of the library are my favorite seriously they are so nice and polite. They listen to us every time. I am first year student so I don't I got any inturn right now . But I think the last year students get their inturn
Campus Life
In terms of meeting new people, it’s easier in college than, say, after switching to a new school in eighth grade. Every college freshman is new to the school, so it’s a lot less awkward to introduce yourself. If you live in a dorm, it is like being at a massive sleepover with all your friends, every night. People are just a few doors down and always looking to hang out. Therefore, it takes profound skill to juggle both academics and social life. Usually, on the weekends, we get together and cook dinner because eating out in the city is expensive. We make a lot of extra food so we all have leftovers throughout the week. Other regular activities we do together include going to concerts, plays, and poetry readings. My college has a lot of free things to go to, which is essential to the life of a college student. They have Gator Nights with movie showings, popcorn and soda; comedy acts; and even laser tag; and it’s all free.
