Should I join NIT Jamshedpur? Here all about NIT Jamshedpur.

Due to covid, my admission procedure was done online. (And trust me it's way too easy). You just need to follow all the instructions coming on the website. Check the JOSAA website regularly. *Yes I applied to many colleges, and the reason for not going there was NIT Jamshedpur excellent placements. *Yes I am an OBC student. All OBC students must have an OBC certificate (The format of the certificate is uploaded on the JOSAA website) approved by the CO or SDO of your city and it should be made after the 1st of April. *You get admission here based on JEE mains ranks. ( Minimum rank is 50k for OBC) and you can apply through JOSAA only. *Admission procedure is easy..just follow whatever is said. Your counselling will start after JEE advance results, till then you go through all the colleges and get ready with a preference list so that it might help you during counselling. * Remember- "Don't get trapped by any such person who takes money for counselling!" *Try contacting any Senior and take help from them

*Metallurgy is a well known branch and my interest in chemistry led me to choose this branch. (Even Sundar Pichai was a metallurgy student) *The ratio better the faculty and students is not soo good here, but it's okay because inside college all you need to study is by yourself. YouTube and self study is the option that everyone chooses. *Most of the facilities are good here except a few. We just need to maintain a good bond between the faculty and then everything will fall aline. *My semester exams were taken in 6 months and it's always timely. If you are studying daily for 2..3 hours then it's an easy task for you to clear the semester exam. *Best part of metallurgy is that the course curriculum is not soo hectic. You get a lot of free time to do your extra stuff. So don't take any tension of curriculum of faculties.

*Here we get a chance from 3rd year to get into an internship. *We get internships In Tata Steel in different posts. *We also get a stipend which depends from company to company. *You should be skillfully to get a good internship *Here you will get a lot of opportunities regarding internship

*The best part of NIT Jamshedpur is campus placement. It has a magnificent on campus placement. *From the 5th semester you will be eligible for on campus internship and from the 7th semester, you will be eligible for campus placement. * There is N number of companies visiting here. For metallurgy, Tata Steel is one of the best companies visiting. *The Highest package is 11.3 lakh and the mean CTC is 6.07 lakh. *91.65% eligible students have been placements *Median CTC is 6 lakh in 2021. *My plan is to get a on campus placement in a decent company. *IF YOU ARE JOINING NIT JAMSHEDPUR, YOU SHOULD BE OUT WITH A JOB IN HAND AFTER 4 YEARS.

*The fee structure here is a bit high as compared to other NIT's. There is a lot of extra fees taken here but it's okay. *At the same time, there is a scholarship given by the government of India based on income. Sc/st students get a full fee waiver on tuition fees. OBC/general students get a fee waiver on Basis of income. If income< 1 lakh- full tuition fee waiver If 1 lakh

*Campus life is super cool here. We have a campus of 325 Acer with a brand new academic building that contains a fully specialised AC classroom. The environment here is super cool and healthy. *Social life is also too good here. Since college is located in a town like Jamshedpur which is a very nice city. *We have a Ojas as our culture fest and culfest as our tech fest, which is one of the best fest of any NIT. *Library here is fully occupied with books and journals, you can borrow any type of books *You must join the classes here.75% attendance is must. *Here we have a very good environment for sports. We have all types of sport like basketball, Cricket, badminton etc. *Here we have many extracurricular activities going on. We have N number of clubs of different genres like Aahwan, phocus,pcon, BTS, faces, DRT, Phenix, Daksh and many more. *Here we have hostel from 1st year itself. *In 1st year we get a room of 2 3 students. *But from 2nd year onwards we Have a mega hostel in which we get a single room for all the students. *All rooms here have a personal balcony and the room is one of the best rooms you will get in any nit. *Food here is decent. Not too good nor too bad. The menu is also fine. Nothing to worry about. *Registration process is simple. You will get the notification on the official website and then we need to follow the procedure and we will be allotted a room. *Here we are not allowed to take pg room outside. You have to make room in the college hostel itself. Overall hotel facilities are good here.
