Internship and Opportunities

I have applied for colleges which comes into comedk exam, but because of the long distance from my native place, I didn't get into them. I have applied for the Thapar Institute of technology but don't get into it because I don't find it price worthy. I got into admission through the Rajasthan state government process named REAP exam. In my case due to the covid pandemic, I got my admission based on the 12th board's result. I got 93.4 %in boards and got IT to branch with that (Otherwise through REAP, colleges take admission based on jee result ). The REAP forms remain open for more than a month and you can apply for them with basic documents like board mark sheets, domicile certificates etc. After counselling, we got admission and were to report to colleges. Then students need to submit their original documents.

I have an IT branch, and I chose it because I have an interest in coding. Moreover, my college provides better placement records for the CSE department. There are around 70 students in the CSE department and around more than 13 teachers in it. The faculties are fully qualified and experienced. Always ready to help students. Exams are not held very regularly in my college and the paper they set is extremely hard. You need to work very hard to score well in exams.

There are many companies that offer internships at our college like creatbytes, Spark, TCS. They usually offer stipends on the basis of the skills of the students and offer around 20000+. Students of our colleges have participated in many tech hackathons with great projects. Robotics club has done a great In creating robots and earned many rewards like cashprize, swags etc.

From the 4th year of college, students are allowed for campus placements. We have all the service based companies like airtel, Goldman Sachs, TCS, Wipro, Adobe (hires only girls ), De-shaw etc. CSE department has placements %of around 85%+. I have a plan to get good placements either on campus or off-campus .

In our college, we have 2 types of branches which include GAS(Govt. Aided) and SFS(Self funded). In this GAS branches have a lower fees structure ( around 7000 per semester ) and SFS have comparatively higher fees ( around 37000 per semester ). The fees are very nominal and of course price worthy. We can apply for all the scholarships which are for AICTE approved colleges. In few cases, alumni also help some financially weaker sections by providing their fees.

We don't have much involvement with fests. There are regular freshers and farewell parties. The library has all the study and novel books to study. CSE department has very good air conditioned classrooms with good infrastructure. There is not much sports involvement for girls but the administration is working on providing facilities to girls for sports. We have all the sports including badminton, basketball. There are many techs and non-tech clubs for extracurricular activities. All the tech and non-tech clubs are coordinated by students under the guidance of mentors. DSC is one of the most important technical clubs.

Hostel facilities are not that good for girls because of a lack of maintenance. However, this year a newly built hostel is ready for girls and have all the facilities including a library, indoor games room. They provide 3meals per day and meal quality is not that good and the menu includes vegetable, chapati, dal and rice.
