IIM Raipur review

After screening all collages IIM Raipur is selected because of higher return on investment, less fee structure compare to other IIM's. Apart from this they have international exchange program tie up 26 universities across the globe, students go there in term exchange and get to learn more. Plus there is no first cum first basis in choosing seat electives for the course, there is liberty to choose and proportion to choose accordingly. As IIM Raipur focus on learning.

Course curriculum is like - There are 6 terms in which 3 terms are along each other with all subjects. Then in 4th term specialization is chosen, there is full liberty to students to chooses any it. There are 30 contact hours which is covered in 20 classes for full credit course and for half credit courses there is 10 classes with 1.5 hours each. 30 hours are required for full credit course and 15 hours required for half credit course. Faculty is great and in online mode also they are conducting case studies, case discussion and all. Professors are PHD qualified from esteemed collages like NUS. Some professor have several degrees from US, there quality of teaching is very good. Overall there is exhilarating experience while studying.

Placements are very good with quite sufficient packages for MBA. Provide opportunities in multi dimensional, and can explore any industry of choose. Different companies from different domains for different role are coming for summer internship and final placements. Industry contacts start from summer internship program because after 1 year of MBA, get to work with industry of tenure 2 months work as intern to get knowledge of cooperate world and prepare for final placements. Average record of summer placement is 88 thousand and average record of final placements is 15.2 lakh.

Total fee structure is 14.05 lakhs of 6 terms, like 2.9 lakh of 1st term, 2.3 lakh of 2nd term, 2.5 lakh of 3rd term and so on. There is no own campus scholarship given on the basis of merit. But central government scholarships are there for reserved categories, one can apply in that.

There is online mode as due to state regulation students are invited in campus but students are connected through Microsoft teams, Cisco WebEx, zoom, goggle meet. There is case study discussion, case study submission, presentations on regular basis with team members. There is student committees and club club which organize events to students to interact. Finance club organize several events based on finance like equity trading and financial analysis, analysis NPV and financial portfolio. And there is section war extracurriculars events like war between different sections and then awarded. There will be fest in online mode planning of which is going on. Also freshers held in online mode to communicate with each other.

IIM Raipur come under CAP (common admission process) which is clubbed process. After CAT they invite for interview on basis of percentile. Written ability test is there, then VAT topic is tutorial economy, then offline interview. Interview is held after test and VAT. Interview is pretty regress with CAP 5 panels are there along with all professors from different IIM's. Questions are asked from all aspects like financial to biology, from general knowledge to general studies, current affairs'. Quality of questions are asked to check people are versatile, they should know something about everything. Questions are like terms come under financial statement, difference between DNA and RNA, revenue which start up unicorn is generating is sustainable or not, check general knowledge through asking who won award, who won Nobel prize recently and there are variety questions. And some basic questions regarding work experience and why do you want to MBA like that. In end of May shortlist is made on basis of 10th,12th, entrance performance,VAT and interview weightage.
