Remarks
Firstly, Indore was one of the oldest IIMs with well maintained infrastructure and secondly I was interested in the HR study program that wasn't available in other colleges. So, I prefered IIM Indore over other colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is more or less about 20 - 30% for class participation for every subject, then other than that assignment is around 30 - 40%, 40% internals, and about 20% in some subjects that have a quiz. And speaking about faculties, they are very generous and cooperative. They clear all the doubts as much they can during the class.
Placement Experience
Because of covid there are not many of placements and speaking about the previous year placement session, students were offered several roles in Marketing, Production Management, Operation, Consulting fields.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for the PGP HRM program is INR 18.2 lakhs and INR 17.5 lakhs for the PGP study program. There is an OPJEM scholarship for meritorious students, and there are scholarships for minorities and financially poor students.
Campus Life
There is not much happening because of the covid. Although, there were a few celebrations with limited numbers of members with proper sanitization, social distancing, And there are 7 to 8 clubs like Equit - I, Mercur - I, Merchand - I, and committees like PR committee, Cultural committee, etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are on a single basis. Daily cleaning services are there, cleaning staffs do it regularly. Basically, overall hostel facilities are good as we get all the facilities, in case if we face any problem with hostel rooms they will come and fix it. Food quality is average and different varieties are there.
Admission
My interview was in hotel Taj Bengal, Kolkata. There was a 30 min. of VAT test and 20 to 25 people were there, GD was not there. VAT test is about social context and economical context. Then the interview was about 10 to 15 minutes. They asked questions about me as an introduction and my academics like previous internships, courses I did in undergraduate, my favorite subject, some GK question (current affairs, world facts), some Sensex and Nifty questions, etc.
