Remarks
One of the reasons I choose IIM Raipur over IIM Ranchi and IIM Udaipur is that IIM Raipur is clearly better than other IIMs like Bodh Gaya, Jammu, and Indoor. Among Udaipur, Ranchi, and Raipur I chose Raipur because it has the highest RY in terms of fees and the median salary which is provided by IIM Raipur is around 14.5 Lakh and the fee is lesser than both Ranchi and Udaipur. And Raipur has its own campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
In the 1st year, we have 3 semesters and there are basic subjects related to finance, operation, marketing, HR, and strategy. Those are completely case-based. We get regular assignments and projects to learn and convert all the theories into the application. And in the 2nd year, we have to choose electives. Faculties are great and they all have done their Ph.D. They all teach well.
Internships Opportunities
The average package is 15 Lakh and the median is around 14.5 Lakh. And the companies like Deloitte, ICICI, Asian Paints are coming for internships.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for our batch was 14.2 Lakhs. The institute provides scholarships and we are required to register on the site.
Campus Life
We have many committees. We have combinations of clubs & committees. There are two types of clubs. One is academic and the other is non-academic. Whatever, you can choose one club or committee and then you can organize events. Seniors are always from starting & helping us.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are that girls and boys have separate hostels. And we all have a single room and also a connected washroom. The hostel is in the campus. There are many other facilities along with the mess also.
Admission
I appeared for CAT which is the Common Aptitude Test. It happened in November and the result comes out in January and I received the percentile of 85.6. After that, I received the call from CAP. CAP includes 9 colleges. IIM Raipur is also the part of CAP process. And then I appeared for the exam. It was conducted by IIM Ranchi. After that, I interviewed for 18th February I got a call. So, the procedure for that is there was GD, written ability test, and interview. So, the written ability test was around 20-30 minutes and everyone was given a common topic. And my topic was related to that should students be exposed to political protest should they be allowed to participate in that. I had to write my point of view. There are 2 slots for the interview and my interview was last and morning slot. So, it's happened around 12pm. I reached the place at 8 am. After that, I had my WAT and then I had to wait for my PI. The PI was 10-12 minutes long. There was two panelists and they were asking me about where I'm from, talk about myself in detail, what are my hobbies. And there is a program in my college so they asked me in detail about that. and I talked about all of these. Then, they gave me a topic & 30 seconds to prepared. Then, I spoke about it for 1 minute.
