A Journey worth Exploring

One of the renowned Engineering college in Nashik division with good placement record and Exceptional student performance track record. Admission process was similar to other colleges in Maharashtra, First you need to fill the Preference form rolled out by DTE, Once college is allotted then visit college for document verification and complete other Admission related paper work.College is located at outskirts of Nashik and has lush green campus,well equipped library, descent canteen and a play ground to help in overall development of Students.Talking about the bad aspect is for sure the Mess food. Food in mess is not up to mark. But you can choose from other number of tiffin services provided around the campus.

The reason I chose Production Engineering was that I was intrested in Both Mechanical and Business Management and Production Engineering was the perfect mix of both theses fields. Course covers several topics Basic Mechanical, Design, TOM, Production Processes, Supply Chain management, Industrial Management etc.For each term we had 5 subject on average and independent faculty was provided for each Subject. Senior Faculty members were PhD holders while most of other had Masters Degree.Term Exams were held twice year and In sem exams were held Twice every Term. Passing level of exams were good enough to test understanding of students.

I completed 15 day internship at JP Plastic industries in Nashik. Production department provided students with various options to choose from for internship with companies like IOCL,HAL, Mahindra and Mahindra and other small scale industries based in Nashik on the list.Intention was to give students idea of Practical on floor work and help them to bridge gap between Technical and Practical knowledge.

Final year students are eligible to sit for campus placements.Companies like Mahindra and Mahindra,Bosch,ABB, L&T, Kpit, FinIQ, Infosys, TCS visit campus for placements.Talking about placements Computer Science and IT department students get about 100% Placement, while other departments on average have about 60% students placed in different fields.

Fees for Engineering for all streams was around 85000 in 2016 for Open Category. As of 2020 fees for Open category ranges from 120000- 125000. Government category based scholarship can be availed for concession in fees.Campus jobs are pretty decent with around 3.5-4 lacs per anum average package. I got places in a software firm with 7 lpa package.

Annual fest named 'Maffick' is conducted every year with various cultural, drama, Quizzes and different competitions. Department wise technical and non technical events are also conducted every year with each department organising their special events and providing exposure and teamwork lessons to students.Classrooms are well equipped with proper benches,fans, lights, cameras, projector and smart boards.Social Activities group like NSS,Prayas and Swapnapurti foundation are active many students willingly participate to add helping hand in social cause.

Hostel room has space for 2 students with seperate almirahs, tables, chairs and internet connection outlet.Mess food is descent but not upto the mark. Many tiffin services around locality are present which provide good quality food.Other than college hostel many privately owned hostel and PG rooms are available nearby college campus which provide better facilities with some extra charges.
