BMS College of Engineering (popularly known as BMSCE) is located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. BMS College of Engineering is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A++ grade and CGPA of 3.83 on a scale of four. Currently, the institute is offering 13 undergraduate and 16 postgraduate courses in conventional and emerging areas. A total of 5,000 students are actively pursuing their higher studies and 350 research scholars are pursuing PhD degrees in BMSCE. In the NIRF Ranking 2020, BMSCE has attained 73 rank among top Engineering colleges of the country. Ranked 6 among top 200 private Engineering Institutes in the country and ranked 3 in south zone in India Today-MDRA Best Colleges Ranking. I wanted to do my engineering from here with my school friends.

Teachers of our college were qualified and knowledgeable. The college follows a semester systems with three tests and one Final exam per semester. The curriculum is being changed regularly with the standard set by the higher institutions like UGCE and VTU.

Many companies also offered internship before the final placement to our college. Deloitte, KPMG, GoldMan Sachs, and many more participated. I got internship with Deloitte with a stipend of 40000rs. The internship was for one month.

About 200 plus companies visit each year to offer job. BMS holds the record of offering 100% placement. The highest package was 48 LPA and the average package was 5 LPA while the lowest package was 4.5 LPA. Top recruiters were Newtonian, Atlanta and L&T. Others such as Dassault Systems, Bosch, Mercedes, Schneider Electric, Samsung, Amazon, Hashlearn, Oracle, Larsen and Toubro, Oracle Financial Services Software, Juniper Networks Inc, Azul Systems, Wells Fargo, Deloitte, and many more, also offered jobs.

Many government scholarships are available to the students such as: DSW SC/ST, LIG, DBCM, NATIONAL MERIT, KARNATAKA MINORITIES, DEFENSE SCHOLARSHIP, SCHOLARSHIP TO DISABLED, GOI P&T, GOI B.S.N.L. Private scholarships are given too.

BMS campus has hospitals, library, auditorium, gym, data center and counselling center. Wi-Fi is available in the entire college. The labs are equipped with the latest instruments, the classrooms are installed with central AC systems. Many events are organized in the campus.

Hostel capacity for boys also includes the international students, total no. of beds are total of triple, twining and single sharing. Outside Campus rented building are also available for hostels. The hostel has all the facilities. The mess food is also good.

BMSCE offers a four-year duration BE/ BTech programme in 14 different specialisations. Admission to the programme is done on the basis of KCET/ COMED-K scores. Students, who are interested to take admission through the management quota, also have to take any one of the KCET/ COMED-K exams and apply through the management quota.
