Entrance Preview

I have given All India Engineering Entrance Exam for my entrance, this was the best of all NIT s, you need to score very good in order to get admission into this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Those courses are set by very experienced professionals and curriculum is such a way that it start with basics in every subject and go in depth knowledge. Although they need to make some changes to some subjects, overall it is good for learning in depth.

Internships Opportunities

There were some programs, but those are very hard to get. I don't know about stipend and all but i heard it was good.

Placement Experience

4.5

In 2012, 90% students placed in different companies, mostly as business analysts in companies like Deloitte, mu sigma, oracle finance etc. In software companies like Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, Qualcomm, Broadcom and some in core industries like intel, cypress semiconductors, ITC etc. Avg package was 6 lpa for ECE.

College Events

5

Every year there will be one technical fest, one cultural fest where we encourage other colleges to participate and share their ideas. Tech fest, and cultural fest is called SPRING SPREE, i addition to that we will have inter branch competition in sports, debate, and some cultural programs. In summer time there will be some work shops on some topics.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Till my batch fee was reasonable, 16500 rupees as tuition fee 12000 for mess fees, and 10000 towards hostel fee. You will have to pay that 16000 in 2 semesters , 1st it is 10000 and second semester it is 6500, in that 500 towards spring spree fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't think they were providing any scholarship program but govt was providing some fees reimbursement program for economically backward students.

Campus Life

4.5

There were not many female students but not less either. Boys: girls is around 6:1 for some branches and some branches like mechanical it is worse. But people from different places across India and some abroad students used to get admission. NIT s are good in terms of extra curriculum activities. lot of sports clubs, robotic workshops, and some cultural clubs like dance, music, literature.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is always good. especially NIT alumni group organises get together in every city once in every two months, where you can meet your class mates and some seniors, and you can explore all the opportunities.

Exam Structure

There will be two class tests for 20 marks, one mid term exam for 30 marks, and end semester exam for 50 marks. Some profs may offer some marks for surprise tests, attendance etc. Labs will have end semester for 50 marks, and remaining marks are for lab book and weekly experiments and some marks for end viva.

Faculty

4

There are many grades in faculty, in those profs are the best in that order. They are well experienced, highly talented, but very strict. You need to be very clear about what doubt you are asking and the basics to that questions. Next are asst and associate profs, those are good in experience and talent but some are not friendly, and the next is lecturers are good in talent but not very experience and they are friendly.
