The NIT Jalandhar Experience

Not only mine but I think anyone who wants to join the prestigious NIT group for his/her Engineering NIT Jalandhar is a great option. The institute has AICTE approval and it was at 33rd position for BTech programme in IndiaToday rankings. The most famous course here is CSE and admissions to the institute are entirely based on the centralised counselling process of JOSAA.

NIT Jalandhar faculty consists of top technical as well as educational expert's having experience of studying in top Indian and International institutes. I was quite happy with the faculty strength also as it assured that good amount of knowledge is availed by each student. Being from CSE branch it was quite important for me to also keep in touch with practical implementation and I think our college gave me the best opportunities to do so.

I think our CSE department got the best work opportunities during the internship round. Thus it was good for the students to participate in the round as they got the chance to learn about different fields along with which good Stipends are also provided to them

Being the best in the town, NIT Jalandhar is arguably the best Engineering Institute of Punjab. The round had over 100 firms participating to offer students handsome packages to the deserving students. The top recruiters in 2020 were Mahindra, HCL, Amazon, Amazon and Reliance Industries. The top package bagged by CSE was nearly INR 42 Lacs and with healthy offers the average package for our batch was also impressive.

I think for an Institution like NIT Jalandhar itself the fee structure here is quite good. Not only is it affordable but the availabilty of Study loan, category based concessions and scholarships make it possible for financially weaker students also to do their Study here. The total fee I paid throughout my 4 years at NIT Jalandhar was around INR 6.76 Lacs Including all tuition and academic charges.

NIT Jalandhar is situated in largely spreaded area and the campus includes Canteens, auditoriums, Gym, Activity halls and other required facilities also. The popular annual events at NIT Jalandhar are the Technical fest, Cultural & Arts competitions and industry Interaction events. The respective societies of all such fields try to arrange the events in the best way and to give students an all-round development experience. I was a frequent visitor of the library also but one important thing is that one should manage the campus life and academics accordingly.

I hail from Ludhiana and doing up-down daily was difficult for me so I applied for hostel accommodation during my BTech at NIT-J. The experience was quite good as I felt a homely feel there which really helped me settle down very easily. Both food and room facilities were awesome and every requirement of the students was fulfilled by the institute. The annual fee for the facility was around INR 30,000

Admissions to any NIT/IIT are based on the JOSAA counselling in which the JEE exam score of the candidates is noted. The category as well as seat availability of any institute also plays an important role for admissions. The minimum eligibility to apply is having a minimum of 75% scores in XII will PCM as mandatory subjects.
