MBA in Gurugram University

The minimum requirement to apply for the MBA program at Gurugram University is a Bachelors Degree and 10+2. I had to submit 12th marksheet scoring 65% and in BBA, I scored 55%. The selection is through the merit list released by the university based on my scores in qualifying examinations.

The program focuses on industry specializations like Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, International Business, Retail Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology.The first year of the MBA Program comprises core courses and second year onwards, the program consists of Elective Courses. The courses are divided into Theory, Practical, and Projects, and assessments are done by the supervisors of the respective department. Teachers are well experienced and knowledgeable. They teach very well. They help in boosting our self-confidence and also point out mistakes on which we have to work.

The college also provides internships at major recruiters during the last semester. There are more than 10 clubs and committees which are entirely run by students. Every committee conducts an event every trimester. The college also celebrates all major festivals like Diwali, New year, Holi etc. Getting to organise all events by ourselves provides us with a plethora of management skills.

The college maintains a 70% placement rate. The highest salary package offered varies from 5 LPA to 6 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges from 4 LPA to 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered varies from 2 LPA to 3 LPA. Sun Pharma and Glenmark are some of the top companies that visited the campus for recruitment.

The MBA is a 2 year course, for which I paid total fees of approximately 80000. For each year, I paid around 40000. But, whatever I paid was worth it. As this experience will always stay with me forever.

It promotes all sports activities and participation in competitive sports events. The university has achieved several accolades in sporting events in Rowing, Boxing, Powerlifting, Taekwondo, Rollball and more at national and international levels.

Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. The hostels provide many amenities to residents such as the Internet, TV, music room, common room, indoor games, and reading room. Both hostels have fully equipped gyms, separate courts for basketball, volleyball and attached mess for dining. There is a dedicated and responsive staff that looks after the hostels for boys and girls.
