Remarks
As I am interested in pursuing marketing, I checked better profiles, companies come to IIM Raipur. I also looked the placement brochure and there was a mass increase in average CTC's as compared to Udaipur, Jammu,Bodhgaya,Srimour cannot be compared as they are BBIM so I chose IIM Raipur.
Course Curriculum Overview
With regards to the curriculum,as we are students of 1st year we have uniform, we study marketing, Human resource, IT subjects, operations and they are about 7-8 subjects for the semesters and post the 1st year we can choose our elective subject as per our interest, Raipur offers students to pursue 3 specializations at the same time, and if you are interested in one elective you can choose that and you can choose the majors and minors as you prefer. We have few visiting faculties, but mostly we have permanent faculties and many of them are IIM alums, have previously been teaching in other IIM'S and we have some really country wide renowned faculty. The ratio of faculty to student is around 1:10.
Placement Experience
Summer internship placements have recently concluded, we are the second among the other IIM'S to complete the internships this year. Even this year have been very tough regarding the placement but we have managed to pulled out with some very exciting startups and recruiters this year. Xiaomi came first this year and other big brands came this year. I am not sure about the final placement but the SIP concluded very sucessfully.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tuition fee is approximately 15 lakhs but that does include the hostel and lodging facility, it comes down to 2.2 lakhs per semester. I don't think the college provide any scholarships not that I am aware of
Campus Life
Even while we were in an online, we have our multiple clubs and committees and we even had our leadership summit online, we had a cultural fest and other events that happened. Otherwise the campus life is very happening, we have webinars in online and seminars in college,there are lot of events that take place, generally there is a sports club, an environmental club and cultural clubs.
Hostel Facilities
Both for first year students and second year students, hostel is provided on campus, its within the campus,about a km, accommodation is solo with attached bathroom, and there is radiant cooling system which keeps the hostel rooms very comfortable throughout summer and winter so there is no requirement for AC, and I believe the hostel is very clean, there is also a cafeteria in campus which is open for 24*7 I believe.
Admission
I had a VAT(Written ability test) and PI. Mostly, the PI revolved around my graduation, hobbies and interests and it was brief somewhere around 15 minutes.
