Entrance Preview

JEE Architecture , NATA , CET , Comed-k. I scored 1700 , 707 , 30000 , 13000 respectively in terms of ranking. What made me choose the course was my own interest in architecture. There was no interview as such.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Architecture basically focusses on the intellect of the student. There's more work involved than studying. It's a slow learning process which requires the complete involvement of the student. The way the syllabus has been formed is a great process altogether.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college provides an excellent internship. The overall experience is a unique learning process where they get you ready for the upcoming challenges you might face while working. It is basically like a practice journal where you are practicing for the future job you might hold.

Placement Experience

3

The placement and job opportunities are excellent. Last year alone there were 26 companies which visited the college looking for their new young employees. Top software giants like oracle, Accenture and infosys were present along with many other great companies. Packages of about 3-8 lakhs per annum were offered to the best of the lot.

College Events

4

There are a lot of events celebrated on our college. Recently we had the Oxford marathon which was a hit in which a lot of students and even students from other college had participated for a 5km marathon. We also have an annual sports day , a fest and other periodic events as such.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite reasonable. Paying Rs.45000 for a degree should be pretty worth it. This amount includes the CET fee , college fee , faculty service fee , lab fee and everything. Plus with all these scholarships and loans out there it becomes even cheaper for those who have difficulties with the amount.

Fees and Financial Aid

Ya there are a lot of scholarships and loan opportunities offered to the students. One such scholarship is the KMDC ScholArship for muslims which I know about cause I've availed it.

Campus Life

2

The campus life in our college is pretty great. There is no gender discrimination in our college and both the genders are given equality. Talking about extra curricular activities, our college gives great opportunities to us students. Me being in architecture have been to soo many fests and events namely Zonasa , NASA convention , LBC , etc .

Exam Structure

The exam structure is quite peaceful talking in terms of the scheduled dates and the study vacation period they give. It doesn't become hectic for the students and they can divide their time and focus respectively. Talking about the labs , the lab exams are the best ones. They are really well arranged and "chilled out".

Admission

I got admitted in the college through merit. I had to submit a CET form which I had to take out from online and then had to collect the college Admission form Directly from the college itself and an online college allotted print out too along with the fees for the admission.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty in this college might not be the best lot but they themselves come forward and help their students and are ready to give up their offs and free hours to help the students. One can not expect more from the teachers here. Their teaching methods could change but that's it everything else is in order.

Placement Experience:

Architecture is completely a solo thinking work we can work in groups as well but if a structure is designed by a single architect then it has a taste of that particular person but if its a group then all will be mixed and have different kind of brains giving different ideas soo an individual can manage even if he doesnt get a placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

You'll indulge in a lot of painting and are related stuff. Well since Architecture is not only about art, there are subjects which will use up your brain cells. You also get to go to study trips too! The ride is not smooth- everyday would be a submission day , everyday would be a love-hate relationship with the course. Internal reviews, external reviews, viva and jury, presentation and assignments, written exams...theyre enough to keep you busy throughout. Since its Affiliated to vtu, the system does seem not so updated to date. You cannot expect to have a month of holidays after each Semester too. Dont dream of having a pleasant vacation break.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more condensed that other colleges', so it makes it easier to tackle multiple things at once. The course prepares us for real world applications through their dual internship program, which is a strong point in their curriculum. If the course in itself had more real world applications, instead of very superficial ideas, it would be more helpful The exams are a hurdle, but it comes with the rigor of the course, and it is something students end up adapting to over the course of 5 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you check with other colleges the approach to the curriculum is different and more fun. The process of learning is more fun and appealing making us satisfied of what we have done at the end. Sometimes we don't get how the teachers are expecting us to do our assignments but we figure it out some how. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-sem and end-sem).
