A wonderful college with good placement offers

I have applied for Pragati engineering college for mechanical engineering college but hearing srkr engineering college fame in mechanical engineering then shifted here, I availed for management quota where I went through without any counseling and didn't pay anything as they saw my intermediate marks and jee marks. Generally, admission criteria are through eamcet and management quota, minimum marks to avail in mechanical engineering in eamcet is 80/160 , if by management quota depends on intermediate marks and jee rank and score.

I was interested in the design field and chose the mechanical branch and after coming to srkr I had an attachment to BAHA which is an automobile field and it enhanced my learning. The faculty to student ratio is 1:6 which is for every teacher, 6 students are there. Teachers are highly qualified, they come from IITs, NITs, JNTUK, AU, OU universities with excellent academic backgrounds, their teaching method is simple and understandable. Exams were moderate to hard and without listening to lectures and referring textbooks, exams cannot be passed.

Coming to internships, it mainly depends on students, and those who all were placed in companies were offered 6 months training and internships with a stipend not less than rs15000. Internships are depended on students and there is one opportunity in college like they send students to the USA accordingly by conducting exams and sending to partner universities there and providing internship of 3 months.

From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements, Infosys , TCS , amazon ,Cognizant , toshiba , accenture , mphasis , wipro , hyundai gmobis, sonata , capgemini , keka , phenom , technovert , aparna constructions , tudip and offers were 1100. The highest was 8Lpa, and the lowest was 2.8Lpa. roles were associate software engineer, software developer, software engineer, graduate engineer trainee, business analyst, systems engineer. Total students are 1500 and 80% were placed. I would like to work for 1 year in Infosys and go abroad for higher education.

There wasn't any fee hike, it is constant and it cost Rs95000 per year and with the hostel, it is Rs1,60,000. I didn't receive any scholarships. I am placed in Infosys with a stipend of Rs15,000 and there was no financial assistance as I didn't come through counseling.

The annual fest is conducted once a year in the month of march and the tech fest name is SANKETA which is conducted in November. Books and journals are available and are always checked and replaced accordingly and also we have a central and department library. Classrooms are big and spacious and with ventilation with modern furniture. there is cricket, basketball, volleyball, badminton and lawn tennis court are available and a gym too. There is yes+ yoga and we conduct Pragya like going to schools and demonstrating experiments. We have AME, ISTE, and some groups in college for students.

College hostels have a bed and a cupboard with an attached bathroom and also and with good ventilation and for every floor, a geyser is attached. Food quality is good in hostel and menu keeps changing daily with good varieties to taste. Students must ask availability in hostels and can avail room and it's Rs65,000 renting a room is a bit difficult as need to look around studies and maintenance too and freedom also but being in hostel keeps better supervision. I lived in a hostel which is in front of the college.
