Remarks
Only one college is selected through online counseling of AKTU colleges. Counseling was done offline in 2019 through physical attendance. We had to be physically present in the college audi with the initial fees (1,33,003 at that time) which was to be paid through demand draft only. Minimum marks required in boards to avail CSE branch in Galgotia College was 85%.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose CSE bec it is the highest paid branch with 95% placements from Galgotia College. For every 50 student, there are 2-3 faculties present for any help needed by the students. All the profs/assistant profs hold PhDs in their respective fields and are very dedicated toward their student department. During the 6-month semester duration, the college holds 3 CAEs per subject or minors and at the end of the semester, there is held one major or external in which an average student easily secures passing marks.
Placement Experience
3rd-year students become eligible for internships and other small jobs. From the starting of the fourth year, students become eligible for in-campus placements. Companies like Tech-Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant are among the famous mass recruiters that approach our college for placements. The highest package placement up till now has been that of 15LPA and the average is of 4 LPA. From the CSE branch, 90-95% of students get placed at Galgotia College. My plan is to attempt for a good rank in the GATE exam and go for higher studies (MTech) after my graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees hike policies change almost every year and don't last more than 5 years consecutively. The scholarship is validated by AKTU and is refunded by the college within 6-8 months (sometimes more late). Financial Assistance are provided to those with special needs or those with abnormal circumstances.
Campus Life
Annually more than 20 tech fests and events are held and the annual fest takes place in the month of May. The libraries are well maintained and air-conditioned with amenities like high-speed wifi and data connectivity. Classrooms too are equipped with wifi, smart classes, Air conditioners, etc. Students who play sports like football, basketball, badminton, and cricket are encouraged further to play in inter-college matches. Indoor sports like chess and carrom are encouraged. Other extracurricular activities include those which are organized by independent clubs and departmental clubs.
