Entrance Preview

12th class boards is the prerequisite required to get into sol, I scored 83% in my 12th class boars exam, had to do ca so needed a correspondence course to complete my graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

It is quite basic, for first year it is mostly same as class 12th syllabus, though will require hard revision, I gonna focus more on my ca as it includes all that 1st year have. It has 5 subjects, most of them are basic, most problematic for most of students is hindi as everyone is out of touch, so it will require extra attention.

Internships Opportunities

No, my college does not provide internship. Just provide degree, being a graduation program at first there is no internship.

Placement Experience

4

They do provide campus recruitment opportunities, very few students are recruited through it. Job opportunities are not very good, being a correspondence course you couldn't expect much either out of it. But still it's quite fair. But outside of campus recruitment, opportunities are well and I've heard they offer decent packages too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is one of the most feasible in India, they charge less than 4000 rupees for the first year and somewhat near this amount in second and third year. They help a lot of students who can't afford private colleges as they are freaking expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provide fees concessions to students from obc, sc and St category. scholarships Is also provided to students who score over 75% marks. No such loan facility is provided by the college.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

Sol doesn't provide hostel facility, but there are a lot of Pg in Delhi for accommodation. On an average pg owners charge 5000-10000 on monthly basis, then for food you have to count on tiffin services which roughly charge 3000 for a month, food quality is no where as decent as compared to home cooked food.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is great. A lot of alumni are my friends and they help me a lot on as to what I should do and what I shall study from. They are a great help and usually keep in touch with each other.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is quite simple, they conduct exams every once in a year, which I'd quite chilled and leave me with a lot of time to study for my ca exams. There are 5 subjects, most of them are easy and doesn't require a lot of attention as they are also covered in CA. Hindi is one that is frustrating.

Admission

Sol provide admission on the bases of 12th class exams, minimum % required is 50%. For admission forms are available online, and at campus, I filled mine online and paid my fees online too. There was no test for the entrance, all you had to do was give was class 12th exam and score Atleast 50% marks to enroll in it.

Being very passionate about law it brought me closer towards the subjects i thought I'd never like. It's vast curriculum has made me like a lot of subjects and has also given me a real life applications and further academic achievement however I feel like the curriculum should focus on law subjects from the very beginning and teaching could be improved by further interactive session between students and faculty.

Curriculum in law faculty is based on bare acts and case material provided by faculty itself. Study is totally case based and very comprehensive. I choose law after graduation because I find law very interesting subject and it is very interesting.

The curriculum is good for the real world applications as the course teaches us about the practical work. They can improve their course by adding more moot court practices during the semester and by giving the students the opportunity to practically utilise the bookish knowledge they are gaining.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very much practical knowledge based and helps the students to grow there legal reasoning which helps them to prosper in the profession. Also it helps them to read and correlate the real time judgements being passed, this curriculum prepares the students to understand the reasoning behind the judgements. Though the curriculum is practical knowledge based it still requires many improvements as these case are old and some of them are even overruled, also the we have to write very long answers which needs to be changed as new methods like ooen text book exams can be adopted to improving.

After 2 years of integrated courses, you can become eligible for a job. In law, there is no company, but if you have good communication skills, you will be placed in one of the high courts or supreme courts under a senior lawyer. I don't know much about packages. My plan was to go to Oxford University for further studies.
