Remarks

The college was very good in almost all aspects be it in terms of knowledge gaining, campus life and individual growth. There is a right mix of students along with very able faculty and lab facilities. The college administration always made sure that each and every student's demand is taken care of.

Entrance Preview

I took JEE entrance exam. I got a rank of 4337. I scored 252 marks. I have asked many of my friends and relatives and got to know that NIT Warangal is one of the best colleges in India. So i opted for this.

Internships Opportunities

I don't know the exact numbers but all the students who applied for the interview process had been placed. Companies like Schlumberger (CTC 34lpa), L&T (CTC 5. 4 lpa), Coal Indai Ltd (9. 75 lpa), Alstom (5. 2 lpa), Shapoorji & Paloonji (4. 2 lpa), etc visited the campus.

College Events

5

Springs Spree (2016) : It was a culture event. Sanket : It was an electronics and communication branch event to invite papers and innovative ECE ideas. Abhivyakti: A general event conducted by civil engineeringTechnozion and Springspree are two big fest. Technozion is considered as biggest Techfest in south India. Many international and nationally renowned scientist join this fest. In Springspree many celebrities come both from Bollywood and Tollywood. Management School and many other department conduct their individual fests. In NITW you will have 2-3 events every day involving guest lectures & events conducted by various clubs and associations.

Campus Life

5

The girls formed around 20-25% of the total population. The college also had foreign nationals from Africa, Nepal, Bhutan and Afghanistan through Direct Admission to Students Abroad (DASA).

Hostel Facilities

5

This was the first regional engineering college so the hostels were too old. Being a vegetarian, I personally didn't like the Veg Mess their for the reason that I was not used to south indian food (rice).

Exam Structure

The overall duration is 4 years. The first year was common to all branches just to give an opportunity to bright students to change the branch based on their year end ranking. Six semestersExam structure is quite hectic. You will have at least one set of exam every month, with two minors, mid exam and Finals in span of 4 month of semester. Minors consist of 10% each. with 30% marks for mid exam and 50% for finals. Its a deemed university so your faculty will only prepare your exam paper, decides dates for minors and you can see your evaluated answer sheet providing transparent system for examination. It has grading system, so your CGPA/SGPA will depend on relative performane with normal distribution.

Faculty

5

The faculty was very intellectual, co-operative and had the right attitude towards teaching. The faculty was very sound technically and was able to clear all the doubts. They were also willing to meet the students even outside the class and help in every aspect possible.
