I have applied for many private colleges located in bengaluru such as BIT,Ramaiah institute of technology and in west bengal such as IEM,haldia but at the end i chosen NIT JAMSHEDPUR because it is better than all that i have mentioned earlier and also it near to my house .I took admission in the general homestate quota with AIR 18670 in the ECE branch via JOSAA councelling.For general homestate quota students to get ECE in NIT JSR ,rank should me less than 19400 approximately .To get this kind of rank ,you have to score 165+ in jee mains.The age limit is as per JOSAA criteria.The admission process was completely done online and councelling was done by JOSAA in we have we have to fill our choices according to your rank and JOSAA allocates a seat in particular college according to your choices .JOSAA conducts 6 rounds of councelling .we also have to upload documents during councelling .

I have taken this branch because i have quite interest in electronics components , Arduino and coding .This branch provide opportunities for both core electronics as well as IT sector - that is best part of this branch.The faculty : student ratio is good .Almoat all the professor are Phd holder and are from NIT OR IIT . The professors teaching quality is good and most of them are always ready to help ourselves regarding course and college related problems.all courses in this branch are good and manageable.you can easily score good CGPA in exams even if you start studying 20 or 25 days before the exams.there are 2 exams in each semester

Student gets internship opportunities from 3rd year onwards.various big campanies such as amazon ,TATA, Qualcomm,etc came for internship.The campanies provide good amount of stipend to their intern.Students make projects,learn various skills , collect certificates to grab an internship from campanies .

Placement is considered to be the best part of this institute.Here placement starts at the end of 3rd year and continue till 4th year. Many students also gets PPO from campanies .The campanies visiting the institute are Amazon,Qualcomm, samsung, TATA, Paytm, oracle , byjus, Infosys ,ola,TCS and many many more.In my Branch-ECE the placement percentage is above 96 percentage ,in CS it is 100 percentage .The overall placement percentage of our institute is above 91% ( it is amazing right) The highest package is 37.5 LPA .(CSE) and 2nd highest is 30 LPA ( ECE) .The core placements are also good here . many students also prepare for civil services ,gate while some also choose to pursue higher studies

The fees is more or less same as other NITs .you have to pay around 1 lakh rupess for each semester that includes all fees such as tution fees ,hostel fee ,mess fee, etc BUT if your family income is below 1 lakh rupess you will get full fee remisson on tution fees( tution fees is around 62500 for each semester) and if your family is in between 1 to 5 lakhs you will get 2/3 remission on tution fees. You can also take loans from college banks itself to pay fees.you can fill scholarship like e kalyan ,nsp scholarship ,etc if you are eligible for these scholarships

OJASS, CULFEST and URJA are the main fest of this institute. Other small fests are also organised each year. In this institute ,there is library where you can find wide range of book and journal to study . All the essential amenities are available in each classroom and is also equipped with modern technology like projectors ,etc.Here there are 6 technical clubs/teams in which each team works on different domains such as solar vehicle, eco-friendly vehicle, aeroplane designing,drone making,etc.various cultural clubs are also there for singing, acting, photography, etc.social works group/ teams are also present here e.g. NSS, Sankalp,etc.All these clubs( technical, cultural,etc) are run by students.Various competitions are also organised by teams/ clubs to encourage students in extra curricular activities There is also a Student council which supervises all students related activites,fests and resolves difficulties faced by students

Many big hostels are there in campus .Here these hostel were mega hostel .after admission and registeration process ,a hostel room is allocated to you .In 1st year ,there are 2 person in 1 room and from 2nd year onwards you can get single room .I also want to include one point in between that hostels are not equipped with wifi but there is LAN .The hostel are spacious .There is huge mess located near hostel in which food is served 4 times a day- breakfast,lunch, snacks, dinner .The food taste and quality is good and there is seperate menu for non veg and vegetarian people.All the students easily get hostel rooms hence there is no need of renting a room or PG outside campus
