University and my experience

Bharathiar University was the University I applied for and I did not avail any quota for admission. The admission process was done with the entrance exam, it was based on the exam scores and previous graduation percentage. Age wasn't mattered at all since we had a student from Iran who was between 30 to 35. After the results of the entrance, immediately after two days, we had an interview session with the HOD of the concerned department and then the regular classes started accordingly. The admission process was done without any delay of the given date.

Literature is more about understanding life since it is the mirror of life, this is the reason for opting for this course. The faculty was really friendly and motivating. The qualification of the faculty was a doctoral degree. Term exams were after every six months and it was difficult to pass because of the online classes due to pandemics.

Internships were provided online, through various workshops and seminars. Internships visiting the school was not provided due to pandemic. Students were given free will to choose their interests for projects.

From semester 4 the department was provided placement opportunities. Various schools and colleges visited and more than 10 offers were made ad the highest and the average package was 50k and above. Students good with communication skills and subject knowledge with 70% and above were getting placed.

Fees were affordable, it wasn't high. There was a scholarship available for different casts and first-generation learners. One student in the class was given free education in concer with the family background.

University conducted fest on founders day and on various occasions. The library was filled with research thesis and documentations along with novels and books regarding the subjects. Classrooms had a wifi connection with a system to operate and projector for presentations, there was a television set up on the wall near the blackboard in the case for any problem with the system. There was NET exam coaching club and reading club.

We were 5 in a room provided with a cot and a shelf for each. The food was healthy and the menu was acceptable. Hostel registration was done from the concerned department and the hostel fee and mess fee was affordable. The hostel was available opposite to the University separately for girls.
