Remarks
I first applied for Sharda University and studied there for 1 month, then I applied for ITS Engineering College which comes under AKTU. It has a better quality of education. I applied for the management quota which is 15% of the seats. There was an interview and then checking of my marks in the 10th and 12th standards.The admission process was smooth. Due to the pandemic, our counseling was done online.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Btech-cse since this college has above 85% placement in that branch. we have better teachers than surrounding colleges. Due to the pressure of external examination, all teachers take education seriously. we have a minimum of 2 teachers in each subject for the 1st year. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. and are quite good in their fields. Exams are fixed. there is sessional test -1 after 1 month then sessional test-2 after another then we have PUT(pre-university test) and then the final external examination.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are provided from the 2nd year onwards. We are given training and most of the students get an internship from college only, but you can also try for external souces which have to be shared with the college first.
Placement Experience
The placement percentage is above 85% for the computer science branch, not sure about the other branches. I was told companies like Infosys, amazon, TATA, Byjus, etc come every year along with other companies. the highest package offered this year is 22lac PA. I'm planning to do higher ed after this degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee did hike since we were told the fee for the 2nd year will be 125000rs or less but instead, they increased it to 127000rs. The college provides ample scholarships based on merit and also if you are from a rural region or from Kashmir.
Campus Life
We have many events organized and sports tournaments too, like inter-house tournaments, etc. The library is stocked with almost all the books. They even have a digital library. The classrooms are well ventilated and the halls are air-conditioned. we are encouraged to participate in sports activities too. there are clubs like the coding club, music club, etc.
