For admission, you need to clear the cut-off set by the college. It is different for every exam. Criteria for shortlisting is your entrance exam score, your overall profile (including marks of 10th, 12th and undergraduate degree) and your answers to the specific questions they have mentioned in the application form. TAPMI also have profile based shortlisting in case if you have work experience of more than 20 months. For PGDM marketing, admissions are either given on basis of profile or entrance exam scores. One must possess 50% in one's graduation. There are criteria of minimum age. A work experience of 2 years is preferred but it is not mandatory.
Course Curriculum Overview
PGDM-Marketing is well-curated course for marketing and sales enthusiasts. Contrary to other PGDM courses in any B-school, this course introduces you to advanced courses of marketing and sales management from term 2 of 1st year itself. The curriculum not only inculcates the concepts of marketing & sales but also aims to broaden your thinking horizons to deal with real-life situations later on. TAPMI's curriculum is AMBA accredited which is international accreditation currently possessed by 2% B-Schools of world. One of the core strengths of TAPMI is its faculty members. Faculty members bring their life experiences to help you make better decisions. You will be surprised to see faculty members who have work experience of 30 years. How incredible it would be to learn from them. All faculty members bring 400 years of work experience with them to give you insights into the problems and solutions.
Internships Opportunities
For the batch of 2020-2022, TAPMI has 100% placement in internship despite the pandemic. 537 students were given internships. The average stipend was 24,120 INR per month and the maximum stipend was 1,20,000 per month.
Placement Experience
Campus placements start from September of the 2nd year. The college holds the record of 100% placement. The highest package offered to the batch of 2019-2021 was 25 LPA. Avergae packege for PGDM & PGDM-BKFS is 11.2 lpa, for PGDM-marketing, average is 10.3 lpa. For PGDM-HRM, it is 9.3 LPA. Some of the top recruiters are JPMorgan&Chase, Crisil, HDFC bank, Deloitte, ITC, titan, Lenskart, L&T, Oracle, Dell etc
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is 7.55 lakhs per annum. The hostel fee is 1.55 lakhs per annum for the 1st year and 1.65 lakhs per annum for the 2nd year. There doesn't include food charges, electricity costs. TAPMI offers scholarships of 2.26 crores to 50 students under Dr Ramada Pai Merit Scholarship Scheme. Criteria for giving away the scholarship is entrance exam scores and annual family income. Throughout the tenure, live projects keep coming in so that students can get a taste of ecperiential learning and can get financial assistance too.
Campus Life
TAPMI is 44.11 acres campus with landscaped gardens, modern infrastructure. It is located on a hillock situated in a beautiful valley. TAPMI has a total of 30 committees and clubs which cover various areas of sports, extra-curricular, interests etc. Every committee and club is headed and run by students only. Atharva is the annual fest of TAPMi which is organized in January. It is a 31-year old annual fest making it one of the oldest events in the country. TAPMI's library is spread across three floors comprising more than 35000 books, 300 national and international periodicals.
Hostel Facilities
The college has 5 hostel blocks with 24-hour water and electricity supply. Each room has an attached bathroom and a 24-hour hot water supply. All hostels have lifts, electricity back-ups, Wifi and a common room. Every room is spacious and properly ventilated keeping in mind the rigorous study and relaxation of the student.
Interview Experience
You will face the following rounds in the admission process 1. English proficiency test (EPT): It aims to analyze the basic reading, writing and listening skills of the applicant. Knowledge of basic English grammar will be enough to go through this round. 2. Group Discussion: After qualifying EPT, you will be assessed on group discussion. Topics given areusually general topics or social issues based on current affairs. Please go through recent major events happened across the globe. The basic gist of every issue will be more than sufficient for you. 3. Personal Interview: After GD, you have to personal interview round which is the final stage of the admission process. Be prepared to answer the basic questions like why you have chosen this institute, particular course, what are your expectations, why do you want to pursue MBA.
