Remarks
1. One of the oldest colleges of India is BIT Sindri, Dhanbad Established in 1949. Currently, this college is being run by the Jharkhand University of Technology. I Applied for this college in Jharkhand and got it at 2k19. 2. In this college I got admitted by EWS quota. But here is also a Category quota for OBC, SC, ST. There is some special quota for Jammu & Kashmir students, And some Bhutan students in the mining branch. 3. Now from the 2019 batch the new process is applied for getting admission through JEE Mains score. Here create a form in which all Jharkhand students fill the form by mentioning jee mains score and publish a list as Rank list and this is your rank list through which you get admission. Before that process students got admission through JCECE which is state level exam. If we talk about the 2019 batch then 90 & above %ile students got admission for the general category.
Course Curriculum Overview
Here there is 10 different branches and about 15-20 students per faculty. And the qualification of teacher are good every teacher come here by clearing Exam and PI. Most of the faculties are done their Mtech from IITs.
Internships Opportunities
As the alumni power of this college is very good they bring many companies for internship TATA also recruits students for internship in 3rd year for Metallurgy Mechanical and Electrical branches. Many civil students got internships in MITACS Canada.
Placement Experience
The placement of our college is well more than 50% students get placed in this college. The more number of students get place In core branch Mechanical And Electrical branch. In the civil branch, the placement ratio is low. The avg. package of this college is about 4-5 lacs per annum. There are many types of companies like TATA, JSW, L&T, VEDANTU, TCS etc come every year. The highest package is gone is about 12 lacs per annum by TATA and by core branch students like Mechanical, Electrical and also Metallurgy and CS. I plan to do GATE after my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
As this college is a govt. college and fees are very low about 15000/- is institution fee per year excluding exam fees and Hostel fees. Here a facility for SC, ST, OBC students is that they get a scholarship of e-Kalyan in which get whole expenditure.
Campus Life
For every engineering student, their college life is the most joyful. In my college, there are 10 different clubs in which every club conduct different fest and competition. And a grand fest is also conducted by our college that is FOYC in November. If I talk about the infrastructure then this college is in the medium range than IITs.Also, a central library in which 2 floors are full of books and about 3-4 lacs differents books are available. sports club also conducted football, cricket interbranch competitions.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel and electricity fees are 7000/- per year. In a room, in 1st year 4 beds are available, in 2nd year 3, in 3rd year 2 and fina year there is 1 personal room given to per students. I am surely telling here the mess facility is good in 100/- we get whole day meals(3 meals) in which no restriction on eating. In a week There are 4 times non-veg and the rest of the day is veg. The quality of the meals is good.
