Remarks

The admission process was smooth with the adherence to deadlines. The college admission committee was jovial in attending to our queries at any moment during the whole process and displayed attention to all my concerns. The admission criteria for the exam is that one should appear for CAT/XAT/ GMAT with at least 85/80/600 scores respectively. Post that applies to the respective course and pays the form fee on the college website only. Candidates having more than 24 years of work experience will have to write a statement of purpose for profile-based selection. The end date for filling the form this year was 30th January 2021. The college still gave a couple of extra days to the candidates who didn't pay their form fee. After the form submission, the college rolled out the interview dates and communicated it to our email IDs. One could also request for a change of interview dates if it is clashing with anything.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is well researched and constantly updated meeting industry standards and the latest business scenarios. The course pedagogy is case-based learning. More emphasis is given to experiential learning. Assignments and projects involve team participation and group discussion. The faculty-student ratio is approximately 1:10. Most of the faculty are Ph.D. holders and very few are about to be finishing their doctorate from primeir B-Schools like XLRI, IIM Lucknow, etc. There is a mix of industry expert faculty and academicians. The term-end exams happen every 2 months with quizzes, presentations, and surprise tests during the course period. The difficulty of the exams is high and serious preparation will only make one pass them.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The college provides handsome internship opporunities for students. 100% intership opportunities are provided to the students. The roles offered are marketing intern, sales intern, analyst, finance intern, etc. The stipend offered varies from INR 20,000 to 1,00,000 per month. Companies such as Microsoft, Gartner, JPMC, Wipro FMCG, etc visit campus. The career counseling and training is done by a dedicated agency that prepares the students to face any challenge during the selection process. The students also bag pre placement offers after converting internships.

Placement Experience

4

The college has a 100% placement record and it always keeps improving year over year. Students get placed in top MNCs and get offered handsome CTCs. Companies from all sectors visit the students to recruit them for Consulting, IT, Sales, finance, banking, etc roles. The median salary stands at 11.2 LPA The highest package offered is 25 LPA. Over 150 companies visit the campus to offer Summer internships and Final Placements. Over 50 PPOs were offered for the previous batch of students. Organizations such as Salesforce, Capgemini, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, Microsoft, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Qualcomm, Gartner, JPMC, etc visit the campus. I plan on joining the consulting firm after degree completion.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee is approximately 16 Lakh for a 2-year couse. The hostel fee is around 3 lakh for two years. In total one can take a rough estimate of INR 20 Lakh to pursue MBA from TAPMI. The college offers scholarships in 4 different categories for the students based on their entrance exam results and also based on the income levels of the student's family. There are many scholarship opportunities a student win can by excelling in academics. Dr. Ramdas scholarship, Dr. T A Pai scholarship, Dean's Roll of Honour are a few scholarships that college awards.

Campus Life

5

The campus is not open to students, thanks to pandemic. Otherwise virtual mode is not hampering any of the campus activity that one would have enjoyed in the 44 acre campus. The fests and annual activitites happen very frequenty. Once in week there is some or the other college activity. There are also case study competetions which one can particaipate in and face the challenges from the competetiors from other colleges. The classes are well quipped with latest digital assests, such as smart boards, mics, projectors etc. College also boasts of State of the art Finance Lab with Bloomberg Terminals and Thomson Reutgers terminals. Brandscan, Atharva, Disha and many other fests grab attenteion of industry stalwarts and students from other primier B-schools.There is mix of cultural activities happening around and interstingly all these activiites are organised by student bodies. Committes such as Student Excetuive Council, Alumni Relatins Committe, etc keep students engaged in all affairs.

Hostel Facilities

5

As per the experiences shared from the previous batches of TAPMI the hostel is surrounded by lush green forest on the hilltop of Manipal. One does not feel like staying in a city but rather like a resort. Boys and Girls hostels are separate. The hostel rooms are equipped with WiFi, Air Conditioners, proper lighting, etc. The hostel cleaning is done by a third party and ensured neatness. It is mandatory for students to stay in a hostel for their studies. The mess offers food from two caterers and per day mess fee stands somewhere between INR 160-170.

Interview Experience

5

There is Moderated Group Discussion, Behavioural Personal Interview & an English Proficiency Test. The students are intimated well in advance about the process via email. The GD and PI happen on the same day. Owing to COVID Pandemivc in 2021 the entire process was done online. It made the process more convenient and smooth with negligible hassles. The topics of MGD are very general in nature ranging from social to economic to environments, etc. One is expected to display pure knowledge to ace the task. The panelist will ask questions individually to assess your prompt and critical thinking. One should practice more and more MOCK GDs and Interviews to ace them.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time.
