Remarks
In order to be eligible for applying at TAPMI, you will have to clear the cutoff mark preffered by the college in the entrance exams like CAT, XAT or other accepted exams by the college. I score 91.94% ile in CAT 2020. You will get shortlisted for GD-PI if found eligible according to your profile. The admission procedure also consists of an English proficiency test (EPT) which is after your GDPI. Overall admission procedure wasn't hectic. GD and PI went very and so did EPT. But when the result came I was shortlisted at 672. But eventually, I got the admission call by the start of July.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was not sure about which specialization to go about which is why I choose PGDM -General. TAPMI encompasses a very good faculty panel. We get to know about a variety of learning pedagogies rather than the usual textbook-notebook one. Faculties are well qualified and have an excellent way of teaching. Exams in TAPMI will go as per of the schedule. Ours is a trimester programme in which each term has been divided into Part A and Part B. We have end-term exams at the end of every term along with short quizzes.
Internships Opportunities
We internship offers from numerous companies offering different roles to choose from. The internship offers averaged about 25k which went upto 1.2lac. Internship preparation begins in the very first month of the course.
Placement Experience
We got offers from numerous companies for our final placements. The placement package offered went upto 25LPA and averaging about 11.2LPA. We get placement preparation right from the first month of course. Placements are certain when it comes to TAPMI.
Fees and Financial Aid
Being in one of the top B-school is costly. But its worth incurring. TAPMI provides a scholarship according to the mark scored by you in your entrance examinations. Hostel fees which does not include food or electricity charges are pretty high. We are occupied with AC rooms and 24 hours WiFi which justifies the hostel fees. But all these are out of concern as it is easy to avail education loan even without collateral from many banks. This is the actual benefit of being in a top B-school.
Campus Life
Overall campus life will give a great experience. You get to enjoy the unity in diversity literally in the campus. You could see students from different parts of India in one place. The campus comprises of all the facilities that you will be needing during your 2 year PGDM programme. TAPMI makes sure that you get enough exposure when it comes to competitions.
Hostel Facilities
Since we haven't got any chance to experience it personally, we could review based on the comments we heard from our seniors. TAPMI has one of the best infrastructures in South India. Since it is a residential programme you are supposed to be on the campus availing hostel facilities.
Interview Experience
Yes, the admission procedure includes both GD and PI followed by an English Proficiency Test. Even though the GD topic can be anything, it mainly focuses on the current affairs that are happening in the country. The interview mostly consists of behavioral questions rather than technical or subject-wise questions. If you are a person who has work experience, then the interview will be around that subject.
