TAPMI Review

I have applied for SIBM Bangalore, WeSchool, Fore, IMT, KJ Somaiya, NMIMS, IIM, IIT. My best convert is TAPMI-PGDM. I didn't avail any quota during the admission. The admission criteria for the batch 2021-23 is 85+ percentile in CAT/XAT. Work experience would fetch additional points. There is no minimum age criteria here. Admission process was smooth here in TAPMI.

I selected this course as this is a general program where you will get knowledge for all the fields in management. Also, I will get time for deciding my major and minors as I have to select that in the second year. Exams here are moderated by faculties and all the schedules are pre-decided. Every day is very much organized here.

Intership lasts for around 8 weeks here and some companies provide PPO as well. In the summer intership, students are given a project which needs to be completed in those 8 weeks. A mentor from the company will be assigned to the student to provide him/her with the direction.

Placements are quite decent here with a 100% record. Around 120+ companies visited the campus last year for recruitment. Final placements start in the 4th term for second-year students. Most of the fintech companies visit TAPMI. I am planning to sit for the campus placements.

The total tution fees if 15L for the entire duration of 2 years. Hostel fees is on top of that. Hike policy is taken care by college administration. Financial help and scholarships are provided on the basis of academic performance and family income. One can get live project here in campus.

Tapmi is a fully residential campus with 5-6 hostels for both female and male students. Many sports fields are present on campus. There are 25+ clubs and committes, all handled by student body. Library is quite big and consists a lot books and journals.

Room is provided on random basis where 2 students are allocated one room. Single occupancy rooms are also available but it is allocated to very few students and especially to second year. The mess facility is good here with 160-170 Rs. per day. Since, room are provided with AC so students have to bear the cost of electricity used by them.

The topic for Group discussion was Covid-19 and its impact on businesses in India which was moderated by a panel. Then it is forwarded to a personal interview which mostly consists of behavioral questions to assess the personality of candidates. The next process is an English proficiency test of duration 60 min.
