College Review - [TAPMI], Manipal

I had applied to almost all the premium business schools in India. For some, my CAT score did not meet their expectations. The admission process to T A Pai Management Institute was conducted very smoothly. The Group discussion and PI round were very enriching and the topic of discussion was quite interesting. Later stages of the admission process were not tedious and help was provided at every stage needed.

I chose this course to get a holistic idea about management which in turn will help me in the corporate world. The faculty members are very knowledgeable, make the course interesting, and are always willing to help the students in every way possible. Quizzes are conducted timely. The faculty-student ratio seems to be good enough.

Not faced any yet as the procedure has just started, But till now everything is being conducted in a defined and structured manner. Looking forward to the opportunities ahead of us concerning the internships and placements in the later stages.

Towards the mid of Term 1, 1st-semester students are eligible for Summer Internships and the process kick starts from Mid September. Placements take place during or post the 4th Semester onwards. All students get placed, those who go by the placement assistance provided by the college. Opting out of in-campus placement is also available to us.

I have not taken a scholarship. The course fee is almost parallel to all other premium business schools in India. Support and assistance are also made available if needed. The money spent is worth the efforts put in by every faculty member and the students to make these 2 years enriching and insightful for all.

Due to the pandemic, we have not gotten the chance to experience campus life yet. but from the experiences of the seniors and alumni, it'll be worth the wait. Have heard a lot about the library facilities made available and also the opportunity to play different sports and actively participate in committees and events.

The GD topic was based on Sensex and the parameters affecting it. The panelists were quite clear with the explanation of the topic and also about what was expected out of us to make the discussion meaningful. The personal Interview was conducted smoothly and the panelists made us comfortable to ensure that we can answer freely and not be nervous. Yes, I did prepare for these rounds.
