I applied to the five best colleges of AKTU in counselling likewise JSS, AKGEC, KIET, ABESEC, Galgotias. I got an IT branch in ABESEC in the 2nd round of AKTU counselling so I took admission in. I didn't avail any quota as I am a general category student. The admission criteria in this college are to score at least 250 marks in UPSEE for CS/ IT and 60% aggregate in 10+2. Age criteria are the same as in JEE. The admission process is quite simple the college staff will help you through it in everything. You just have to bring all the documents they ask for.

I like the IT industry and wanted either CS or IT, so the course choice was quite clear. Here the faculty: student ratio is 1:12 which is quite good for an AKTU college. The faculty here is good with teachers with PhDs in their domain and their content delivery is quite good. There are a total of 3 internal exams and sometimes 2 with one PUE and 1 or 2 sessions. Question paper is set with the examples of book and class questions so if you concentrate in class the exam difficulty is medium.

Many companies like Goldman Sachs, Hacker Earth, cisco etc provide internships for SDE roles and Data scientist roles. You have to make one project in the 3rd semester and one in 5th semester and one in 7th semester for clearing through the high end technologies.

You become eligible for placements in the sixth semester of B tech and the companies start coming in February. As per the time of this review for CS/IT, 290+ companies are visiting with Tech giants like TCS, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Infosys etc. The highest package on campus was 12lpa CTC and 35lpa ctc off campus. The total offers were around 800+. The percentage of students getting placed in CS/IT is 98%. Plans after the degree are to work in it industry.

Fees are the same to date for all the programs. The scholarship is for weak background students by the government of Uttar Pradesh. I got a cisco virtual internship with a stipend of 25k and on campus opportunities here were good for me I got 3 offers including a TCS offer of 7.5 LPA.

The annual techno culture here is Genero which is held around October and is of a 3 day duration. The tech fest is held around February for 2-4 days. The college library provides you with all the course books and journals which you'll be needing in the course of your program. In sports, there are 5-6 activities like volleyball, cricket, football etc. And in extracurricular includes singing, dancing, open mike, theatre etc. There are many clubs of different domains like Programming club Enigma, Samvaad theatre club, environment club etc.

The room has a bed box, cupboard, table and chair, and cooler/AC if you opt. The meal quality here is good compared to any other college. You have to register for a hostel in the registrar office. Rooms are affordable but the price of service is not that good.
