M.Tech program in VLSI Design

Good: Best infrastructure, placements, people, faculty, and facilities. Especially the college had FFCS curriculum by which you can attend your class at your bonked slot to your favorite teacher. There are no many Bad remarks.

I took the VITMEE test. I don't know how much I scored as they don't release the scores but my rank was 153. I opted for this college because I don't have enough score on the GATE exam to do my M.Tech in IITs.

The entire course curriculum was very good. They include all the detailed information for industry requirements. Every technical course has one theoretical paper and one laboratory paper. The curriculum includes 3 semesters and one master thesis semester. Elective subjects come in the third semester and better to choose Low power VLSI, CAD, Memory design, etc. as electives.

For this VLSI course, VIT offers internships for their students through campus placements which will be conducted in the third semester onwards. They offer internships from Intel, ST microelectronics, Texas Instruments, NXP semiconductors, etc. The stipend for these companies will be 20-30k/month.

The placements in this college are excellent and in south India, this is one of the top colleges for placements. Most of the people (90%) are selected through slot-1 companies like Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM, etc, and they will pay 3-4L/annul. The college also offers Dream offers in their core fields through placements for this they pay 5-10L/annum. Some of the companies like Flipkart, eBay will pay 13-16L/annum.

The college has more than 150 student communities, chapters through which they will conduct events like technical, cultural, guest lectures, training sessions, etc. You will notice at least 10 events every day. Some of the main events are Gravitas and Riviera, these two are conducted on a huge level.

The fee structure was as usual compared to all the private universities.

Indian banks and UCB banks are located in this college and both offer loan facilities for their students. Some of the scholarships will also be given to students with the best academic career and are economically back.

You will experience the best college life in VIT. It organizes so many extracurricular activities through sports, events, etc. You had a chance of meeting people from different parts of India and other than India. Here the students are very communicative and friendly to each other.

The hostel facilities are very good at this college. They provide hostel facility to all of their students. Hostel rooms are available in single, double, four and six bedded sharing in both AC/ non AC type. The cost will differ for each type.

VIT has the best alumni network and it is named as VITAA association, through which you can communicate to college, your friends and it will help you a lot in your career.

The exams were conducted in 3 stages. CAT 1 and 2 for the 50% of the marks and its division for marks will depend on your teacher and the final exam for 50 % of marks.

The faculty of this course were very experienced professionals. They had a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the same field. They will teach you very well but not all the topics because you are in masters degree you have to research on your own and have
