IIM Trichy

There is a common admission process for 9 IIMs known as Common Admission Process (CAP). The 9 IIMs are IIM Trichy, IIM Udaipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Raipur, IIM Kashipur, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Bodhgaya and IIM Jammu. The candidate has to appear for only one interview to get admission into these colleges. Based on the overall Composite scores of the candidates as per different college's criteria, the offer is made to the candidates who have cleared the minimum cutoff decided by various colleges. I was offered admission to all these colleges. I selected IIM Trichy due to its diverse academic batch and a good percentage share between freshers and experienced people among all the colleges mentioned above.

I selected Post Graduate Program in Management course because of my interest in the field of Finance. IIM Trichy has the best Student-faculty ratio of around 10:1, and we have highly reputed faculty here at IIM Trichy who have experience with some world's top B-schools. The teaching method followed is the practical case study approach which helps us connect the concepts to real-life situations and equip us with the knowledge to help us in our future professional careers.

The companies that visit our campus for summer internships are well-reputed in their industries and offer an amazing stipend to the students with some additional perks. The students get many opportunities to work with some global multinational companies with amazing packages.

Students are given assistance for summer placements in their first year and final placements after completing the 6 terms and the required minimum passing requirements. IIM Trichy offers one of the best placement opportunities to its students. We have well-reputed companies visiting our campus for placements. The students get many opportunities to get placed in one of their dream companies.

The complete fee includes tuition, hostel, and mess fees for two years in 18 lakhs INR. The college also provides scholarships to the merit and category students and follows all the center decided scholarship policies. Also, the college has some ties up with some banks like IDFC First bank, which provides financial assistance to the students based on their family's income.

We have an amazing campus here at IIM Trichy with all the amenities to help students for their holistic development. Also, the college has various academic and non-academic clubs and committees helping students in their journey of 2 years.

The students are given single occupancy rooms with all the necessary amenities. The hostel mess maintains to keep a mix of both north and south Indian taste and students never find any difficulty with the mess food here at IIM Trichy.

Last year, due to the pandemic forcing to conduct the process online, we had only Personal Interview after shortlisting the students based on our CAT scores and academic background. The student has to be well-versed with their undergraduate courses, current affairs, basic HR questions and some knowledge about their interested field before appearing for the interviews.
