I gave CAT 2020, in which I got 94.08%ile. I applied for the NC-OBC category. Based on my CAT results, I received interview calls from IIM B, C, L, K, I, FMS, and all baby and new IIMs. Section-wise cutoff of CAT score for IIM Calcutta in NC-OBC category was 70, 65, 65%ile in VARC, LRDI, and QA, respectively. The interview took place over Zoom, which lasted for around 20 mins. Interview questions were based on Current Affairs, my interests, and my job experience. I converted all my calls except IIM B and IIM L, and since IIM Calcutta was the best option for me, I decided to go with it. For confirming the admission, I had to pay the seat booking amount of 1 Lakh within 10 days, which is refundable if you withdraw within the prescribed time limit. After that, for taking admission, I had to pay the first term fees of 344000, excluding the seat booking amount. The admission process was simple, and the document verification took place over Zoom.

IIM Calcutta is one of the top three B-Schools in India. It has some of the best faculties in India. There a faculty for every 9 students. MBA at IIM Calcutta is a two year course with trimester system. The teaching approach is case based which involves a lot of class participating and helps in learning concepts through real scenarios. Class learnings are very important to perform well in exams.

All the students eligible for internships are offered internships by various companies. Companies for all sector preferences offer internships. Stipend could range anywhere between 1L/month to 4L/ month.

The college provides both summer and final placements. The college offers 100% placement to its students. All major companies come for placement. After my degree, I want to work as a product manager in a Tech firm.

The total education fee plus hostel is 23L. There are a lot of scholarships based on merit and financial condition. The college provides a lot of opportunities for a summer internship and final placement.

IIM Calcutta has a wide diversity of clubs from cultural clubs like Hues for painting, choreo club for dance to sector clubs like PM Tech for product Management and Analytics club for data analytics. All the clubs are active and conduct events and programs on regular basis. It also conducts 7 lakes festival. IIM Calcutta's library has a wide range of books, journals, databases etc. The library itself is huge and contains all kinds of materials.

IIM Calcutta MBA program is a residential program. So it has hostels to accommodate all its students. Some main hostels are Lake View Hostel, Ramanujan Hostel, New hostel, annex Hostel. All the rooms are of single occupancy with all basic facilities. All the hostels have their own mess and the food is decent. Lake view is famous for the lake view from most of it's rooms
