GBU: A Better place for education and Sports activities

Gbu conducts online entrance exams. Admission is based on the rank you got in the entrance exam. After the result, you have to choose your branch, and the branch is based on the rank you got. First of all AI, CS, IT, ECE, EE, MECH, CIVIL this the criteria based on the rank. If you want to change the branch you can change it if seats are available. After that counseling started in college. Before the classes, there is a 1week orientation session and then classes started.

I chose the IT branch and got the IT branch according to my rank. The faculty-student ratio is good. Some faculty members are highly qualified(IITs, NITs) but almost all the faculty members are PhD and have experience of teaching. Exams are done twice in semester, mid semester and end semester and in between quizes, assignments and presentations did. The level of the exam is not so high it's medium.

The placement is not so good but not bad. In 7 sem placement started. There are many companies who visited for placement, techmachindra, indiamart, honda, oppo etc. But the placement of ICT department is very good as compared to other departments. The highest package was 9LPA and the average package was 3LPA. About 40% of students get on-campus placement.

The fee is approx 180000 including hostel and mess fees. When I get admission fees was 104000 academic but for the new batch, it increases. The UP govt provides scholarships for the students who are domicile of UP and their parents are not government officers.

During academics, many fests is organized. One of them is abhivanjana which is an annual fest. Other than this tech feet TECHNOVATION, sports fest-Shaurautsav and Dawat-E-GBU are also organized. The library includes all the books which are preferred by students and can borrow books for their studies. Every year sports and extracurricular activities are organized. There are many clubs such as techno club, dance club, cultural club, robotics club and NSS.

The hostel life is best life. The hostel is compulsory for all. We have a single room with bed, table, chair, almirah, bookshelf provided by college. Except for this college also provide TV room, Table Tennis room, and badminton court. There are 6 girls' hostels. Mess food is very good and the menu changes from time to time. If you rent a room or PG there is a good locality near college
