REVIEW : ST.THOMAS COLLEGE(AUTONOMOUS), THRISSUR

First, there was an application to be filled along with an application fee. Then, Trial allotment rank list was published. After that 1st allotment list. After that I was called for the allotment. I didn't get admission there. I also applied in my college in management quota. The next day I received a call from the college informing that I got admission in ST.THOMAS COLLEGE in Management Quota. On June 10th, 2019, I went to college and took my admission by paying the fees required.

I choose this course because I completed my higher secondary in Commerce. The faculty members are enough to handle students. All the faculty members of our department are well qualified with Ph.d. The teaching method are different for different faculties. But all of them use to ask the pattern which the students want and adjust their teaching style accordingly. The exams are conducted in a timely manner, with 2 semester exams a year. The result are also published accurately.

Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester. There are 40+ companies that conducted placement drives in our campus. Different companies selected a different number of candidates. South Indian Bank was the company that selected the most candidates from the campus (62). The average salary package offered by companies is around 2lakhs and 3lakhs per annum. Some companies like Byju's are offering high salary packages. Last year 272 students got placed in different companies. I'm a candidate who is looking for campus placement.

The fees is not that high. The college provides fee concession to students who got admission in the Merit list and Community Quota. Management Quota students will not be getting fee concessions. I go to college by bus. I'm getting concession in bus fare. I applied for POST METRIC SCHOLARSHIP in the first year. I received it. So, I renewed my scholarship application last year. I got the scholarship amount last year too. Now I'm going to renew my application.

There are different clubs in the college. Entrepreneurship Development Club, Cookery Club, Music Club are some of them. There are other social groups like Jesus Youth in the campus. The club activities are led by the student coordinators along with the club members with support from the faculty members.
