College review and experiences

Applied through ecet -2013 year. No reservation quota for my category. But availed fee reimbursement due to ration card. As this was developing college people with huge ranks also got admission. The college environment was good at my time, ece faculty were also good. But there were fewer placements. Few bpo or call centers came. But training and development for placement were good. Parallel I have applied for gudlavalleru engineering college, pv Siddhartha college but due to rank and category couldn't get a seat.

The course curriculum was followed as per jntuk University. I have chosen ece as I was keen about electronic things development and learn how stuff works. The faculty-student ratio was 40: 1 approx. The facility was good and most of them are M.tech but no Ph.D. faculty would be seen. Exams were conducted as per jntuk and paper wasn't always easy or tough.

From 7th sem students were eligible for placements. Most of the visited companies were small and cannot remember them. But few are bpos and call center with package 10000-15000 monthly. Students with more than 60% were eligible for placements. My plan after getting a degree was to do a job related to electronics.

On my admission time fee was 35000, and after 5 years it has been raised to approx 55000. I got fee reimbursement due to a white ration card from the local government. Besides that, there were no merit scholarships or assistance. It was mostly depending on the University and the norms of local government. Placements were average most of the companies were bpo or call center type. I got placed in a similar automobile showroom of Noida with a salary of 15000 approx. but didn't join as they asked us to pay a security deposit of 1L. Few good MNCs got visited but only under pool drive gave fewer chances for everyone to get selected.

The annual fest was conducted every year. But technical fest was conducted 1 time in my 3 years of journey. ( Lateral entry) .it was good and enjoyable. Tech fest were also not bad. Around the month of January. The library was in normal size with the normal collection of books of subjects and journals. But it was useful. As per the subject and topic ( final year), the classroom got to be placed with a digital screen for better explanation. Extracurricular activities or sports during normal days were very few. But during the time of annual day, it was conducted. There were no social groups or clubs or websites managed by students. It was just like a school-type environment.

The hostel was average. It was like a dormitory with more than 6 students. It was always hustling around us. All rooms were connected with each other which gave a lot of noise and disturbance always. Meals were average or sometimes bad too like any other hostels. The menu was in tiffin - idli, bonda , pulihora, and watery chutney week wise .and for lunch sambhar was common and dal, some sort of curries and buttermilk were given. Registration for a hostel is directly in the admin office. During my time hostel fee was around 20000-25000 annually and it was negotiated. The location of my hostel is in Nunna walkable distance to the college building. But college was very inside to the main road. Without transportation, one cannot commute.on the main road, one can find rented houses.
