BIT SINDRI is affiliated with AICTE and works under JUT (RANCHI). The admission in BIT SINDRI is done through counselling done by JCECE. JCECE makes the merit list of students based on JEE Main scorecard and converts it into its own CML rank. CML rank under 600-700 is a must for taking admission in BIT SINDRI for the general category. CML rank under 800-900 is a must for taking admission in BIT SINDRI for the OBC category. CML rank under 1500-2000 is a must for taking admission in BIT SINDRI for SC/ST category. There is also the TFW category for economically weaker sections. The student who wants to take admission in BIT must belong to Jharkhand. The admission process for this college is the same as in IITs and NITs.But this year it was digital. You must be prepared with all your documents before the screening. In screening one teacher is assigned to you and he checks all your documents. It is a bit long process but it is simple and transparent.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are 9 different streams in our college i.e, Computer Science, IT, ECE, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, Metallurgical, Mining, Production. Most of the facilities are from prestigious College Like IIT, NIT etc, They are well trained and very cooperative in nature. Our end semester was a bit late but lastly, it all happened with good results and a full syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
Students from our college are doing internships in companies like Google and Microsoft. Many non-core companies give internships offer to students. BIT tries its best to keep its students aware of industrial knowledge. Many students also try for of-campus internships.
Placement Experience
BIT SINDRI has a decent placement percentage. Top companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, HUL, Tata stell, Deloitte, JSW visit our campus. The highest package was 12.5 lakhs in IT and the average package was 5.5 lakh. About 60 % of students get placed each year. The top recruiter of our college is Tata stell. Many students attempt GATE, last year one student got AIR 14. I am also preparing for GATE for top PSU's. Students after the 7th semester are eligible for the campus placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees in our college are very much affordable. One thing that is very good about our college is that tuition fees for girls and TFW are negligible that is Rs 32 per year. And for other students, it is Rs 13000 per year. Alumni of this college also give scholarships to the economically weaker section. Hostel fees are Rs3000 per month with a very good facility. BIT SINDRI stands 46th among all Engineering Colleges in India in hotel facilities.
Campus Life
BIT SINDRI is known for its co-curricular activities, BIT has many groups and clubs such as Leo Club, Model club, Eco club, NSS Bit Sindri, Rotaract club and there are many .every clubs comes with many events and fest every year. The regular competition takes place each year.BIT has a very big library hall.
Hostel Facilities
In BIT SINDRI hostel is allotted each year. There is a separate hostel for girls and boys. Each hostel has its mess. Food quality is a very good and separate menu for each day. Each room of the hostel has two beds each for two beds. One study table for each and one almirah for each student.
